I really, really wanted to do more cast members. In fact, I had three different ones planned, each set at a different school. John and Ronon are at a school where they wear gakuran, the military-style uniform seen above; Teyla, Elizabeth, and Jennifer are at an all-girls school that wears sailor uniforms; and Rodney and Sam are at a school that wears ties and blazers. I was also originally going to actually draw a comic strip for each, or maybe write a ficlet, but that didn't happen, either. Woe. I may still someday. Anyway, for now there's John and Ronon. :D

OMG, IT'S LIKE THE OPENING CREDITS OF MY NEW FAVORITE HIGH SCHOOL DRAMA!!1!

Sorry, had to get that out of my system. *g*

John and Ronon make awesome bishounen. Love your choice of the grass pose, the faint blush on their cheeks, the untucked shirts, Ronon's nascent beard, all of it. I bet Ronon would catch crap for his hair if the other students (and the teachers) weren't scared he was yakuza.

So, Sam and Rodney as rivals at a science magnet? With personalized lab coats?

Yes, YES!! That was totally what I was seeing!

But John is more the emo Arima-kun type, the oojisama nobody understands... *wipes emo-tear* Rodney simply cannot pull that off.

A-mouse and I were squeeing last night, thinking of Rodney with koohai-minions and Sam doing all her work herself. Showdowns in the chem lab! *sniffles* We also think Kusanagi+Dumais+sailor fuku = most adorable bff ever. They would trade scarves or pendants or something, and do each others' hair. And Elizabeth would draw little doodles of Sedge on her class notes.

Oh god, your AU has eaten my brain.

It's kind of eaten my brain, too. ^_^;;

The idea I had for Sam/Rodney was them looking at the noticeboard to see who got the highest score on the most recent test, and they're both tied at 100, but because Carter comes before McKay, Sam's name is first, which she of course lords over him and insists that he has to honor the bet and buy her pudding. And Rodney hems and haws and whines, but he likes pudding and he likes Sam and it's kind of a date omg, so eventually he gives in.

For Elizabeth, Teyla, and Jennifer, Teyla is practicing kendo after school when Jennifer comes up to her and hands her a love letter. Teyla is polite, but turns her down (this is an all-girls school, and Teyla is the type that all the younger girls have a crush on, so this is hardly the first time this has happened to her). Then Elizabeth comes by to walk home with Teyla after practice, and Jennifer realises that while she'd thought Teyla and Liz were just BFF, they're totally dating.

I really want to write it! I had hoped to have ficlets written to post with the art, but didn't make it in time. I have three fic deadlines coming up, with [info]mcshep_match being the latest on June 15th, and it's on the top of my list to write after that (or sooner, if I get my match fic done before the last minute, but uh, I know myself, so).

Yeee! I love the childish faces and the sprawled in the grass looking up at the sky pose. You captured their adolescent selves really well, and it totally fits with those pre-teen manga I see everywhere. Very cool.
