About
Welcome to our wallpaper sharing community! Since one of the meanings of Shoji is "Japanese paper and wood door or screen" We thought PaintedShoji was the PERFECT name for a community devoted to making wallpapers from our favorite mangas, animes and fan art! Because so many of our interest lie in adult oriented material, this community is friends locked! But its so easy to join!
We are here to enjoy ourselves and share great pictures, the same as the rest of you! Following a few simple guidelines for posting will minimize conflict and maximize enjoyment. We’re all grownups so there won’t be any problem doing that!
Here are the rules – follow them and we will all have a great time here.
1. Because we post material considered to contain adult content in the US, this is a members-only community. You MUST be 18 to join. We hate to do that, but because of the paternalistic legal system regarding adult content in the US, we have to strictly enforce that rule. If we find out you’re under 18, we must remove you from the community. No exceptions.
2. Be respectful. If the content warning contains something that doesn't float your boat: DON'T CLICK ON IT! It's that simple. All posts will be checked to make sure the appropriate warnings have been included in the header info. (See warning info below)
We have no tolerance for personal attacks or flaming. You will be warned and if necessary banned for starting fights and/or making fun of the likes and dislikes of others.
3. Some posters don't mind if you chat about off-topic subjects in threads, and others get very irritated. Please abide by the poster's wishes. Posters are encouraged to police their own threads. You have delete buttons and freeze buttons. Please feel free to use them! However, we as mods encourage polite, amusing conversation here. Part of the fun of sharing manga is talking about them with your friends!
4. See our posting format here. (members only of course)
5. ALL pictures and website information need to be behind an lj-cut. This is to protect members Friends pages. Many of us have small children or younger siblings who should not be carelessly exposed to sexual images.
Please also keep any notes and/or remarks behind the cut as well. This makes it much easier to scroll through the posts. In addition, it keeps our front page from looking cluttered!
Please remember, too, that not everyone wants to hear about your sexual fantasies. Limit potential TMI to appropriate discussion of the topic at hand.
If you have ANY questions or are uncertain about anything please feel free to email us! One of us checks the email at least once a day!
