Remembering past techniques

G'day, hope you can help me. Yesterday (yes, only yesterday) I was playing around with pictures and I turned a photo of the lovely Scarlett Johannson into a sketch. It worked for me, I was happy, and I figured I'd play around with it later. But, for some stupid stupid reason I merged the entire image, so it now has no layers, and I can't for the life of me remember how I did it. I'd love to try it again, but nothing I've tried is working. So, I have two requests:
1) Is there a way that I can find out what I did to an image after I've merged it all, closed the programme, and turned off my computer (ie it's not just in the recent memory.

And, if nobody can help me with that,
2) Does anybody have any suggestions on how I could recreate this effect? I found somebody selling a script that looks about the same, but since I managed to do it myself, I am feeling like a bit of a tight arse and I'm going to try here first. I hope you can help. Cheers.

For my photography class I have to make a 12 picture proof sheet. My instructor emailed me directions/settings for Photoshop since I missed the class we did it in, but I only have PSP8 at home. Any help with making a contact sheet in PSP8? Screenshots she sent me are under the cut, if that helps.

Thanks in advance.

PSP not running! HELP!

<s>Hello!

I need some help! I'd really like to solve this problem!

I have PSP7 and I had the brilliant idea to try and use gradients. I never do because they always bear trouble and they did! :/
I selected the gradient but PSP froze, an error occurred and the program crashed. It happened several times yesterday too but I always managed to launch it again afterwards. Today it just won't open anymore and I tried rebooting my computer several times, but nothing changes. When I turn the pc off, actually, a window opens up saying PSP will be terminated. It opens up as many times as I have tried to launch the program, as if the program actually was running, which is really strange becase the PSP window does not open. Animation Shop works though...unless I try to export the icon into PSP. Then it freezes too.

What should I do now? Is it possible to fix the problem without having to uninstall it?

Hope somebody out there can tell me what to do!

Thank you in advance! :D</s>

ISSUE SOLVED! :D

Name's Rachel. I just joined this as or right now. I was wondering could anyone tell me how//give me the basics on just making a photo look better.. like making skin look better, the lighting look better.. I mean I know all about brightness and contrast who doesn't, & I know how to fix red eye, but.. you know, just fixing a photo up nicely.

Also, where can I download free Paint Shop Pro 9 brushes? & how exactly do I use them? I had Photoshop CS before this and lost it.. so now I'm trying to learn to work with Paint Shop Pro 9.

Any advice is GREATLY appreciated!

To see my work, check out my myspace.

www.myspace.com/z0mb_e_lectrique
