in a week and a half, i'm off to a month-long art program down in L.A. and since i'll be away from home for so long, i decided to stock up on new music. i downloaded some twilight fanmixes, and decided to make a mix of my own. i'd been working on a star wars mix for a while but this new music was far superior to the set i had before. and note: click the music notes to download the songs!

Hello everyone.
I'm new to the community, and I'd just like to give a little intro. I've been a Star Wars fan for a number of years, and I've always felt a certain connection to a few of the characters. As a result, I've been drawn to a particular pairing, too.
I wouldn't say I'm an experienced writer, but I do enjoy writing. In fact, it almost equally rivals my roleplaying hobby.
I've been going back and reading a lot of the fanfiction presented in this community and I must say, I'm really enjoying it all.

Special note to this community:
The theme of Anakin and Padme is very much present throughout the entire story. There is one specific set of notes that deal with Anakin and Padme writing to each other....and Anakin and Padme each talk about the other in their notes to other people. Because this story is AU, you cannot assume that this theme won't be carried over into the original trilogy....

Please Note -- a knowledge of Star Wars is NOT necessary in order to participate in this role-play. I am willing to explain anything that you need to know to you in order for you to play a particular character.
At was writing a Star Wars AU fanfiction several years ago on other sites. In this fanfiction, I had various Star Wars characters write to other characters -- explaining to other characters what is going on in the story. The result of this is that a fanfiction is written from the perspectives of the characters, while they interact with each other. The story begins before The Phantom Menace and will go all the way up through Return of the Jedi. Right now, the story is almost at the end of The Phantom Menace. That is where I had to stop because of time contraints from school and other things. However, I decided to start it up again. I need characters. These Notes will be posted in their own community, and also on a proboards forum.
For those who participate, you get to pretend to be a character and have influence on other characters, as well as the overall story. There are boundaries, though.
The reason that this fan fiction will be classified as AU is because, while generally following the story line of the movies, there are certain points that will be different. Also, there are additional characters and events. There are also questions that are answered in this fanfiction that are not covered in the movie. (Like how and why did Dooku become a Sith, what was Palpatine doing behind the scenes that caused everything to happen the way that it did, what would happen if Anakin was really able to free his mother, just how deep was the love between Anakin and Padme and how did it develop, etc.)
This fan fiction will take you through the events of the movies, and you will get to see these events through various different characters' eyes.
I will not post the fanficiton to this group unless the group owner specifically wants me to.
If interested in participating, please either reply to this or send me a private message. (A private message would probably be better. That way I see it for sure).

Timeframe: The Clone Wars episode "Hostage Crisis"
"That's not what I want, not at all," Anakin said, drawing Padmé in close, his eyes gazing into hers. Their lips met and Padmé set the lightsaber on her desk. The warmth of Anakin's deliciously full lips and tongue drew Padmé away from her work and her duties. The walls of her office faded away as there was nothing more than Anakin. She breathed in his familiar scent, caressed his hair. Oh, how she'd missed him when he was gone.
No, there isn't anything more important than my love for you, Ani, she thought. Right then and there she was ready to walk away from everything and go off with him wherever he wanted. A place where they could be husband and wife, a place where they didn't have to hide their love.
Padmé's kisses became more insistent. After all that has happened, after the whole Blue Shadow virus thing, I should, I really should...
Anakin responded to her signal that she wanted more. She could hear the lightsaber slide away; Anakin must have moved it further down the desk with the Force.
Oh my, I don't know what he has planned, but I don't think I'll stop him, Padmé thought.
Then she heard Threepio outside of her door and she was the Senator again, in the forbidden arms of a Jedi.

But what Obi-Wan told her has shaken her and she quickly realizes the Anakin coming back to her is not really her husband…
A/N: Plot bunny bit me out of nowhere after listening to some comments by the Flannelled One himself on the ROTS commentary… And I realized that all the events were in part due to Padmé not waiting for Anakin. If she never went to Mustafar, Obi-Wan was unable to find Anakin and so on...

Desire I
Anakin lay on his side, quietly admiring the graceful curve of Padmé's back. She was still asleep, her long dark curls splayed over the pillow so that he could see the expanse of flesh unobstructed.
Strange that this was the first thing about her that drove him to lust. When they'd briefly visited her family back in Theed, he'd of course admired what her revealing outfit exposed, but her nearly-naked back made him long to touch her. The dress she wore on the journey to the Lake Country? She may as well have worn nary a stitch.
Reaching out with his natural hand, he brushed his fingers on her shoulder blade just as he did on that day. With all of his scars, her skin remained as soft and smooth as ever. Perfect.
She didn't flinch or angrily push him away when he'd touched her that first time. Anakin grinned at the memory of her trembling at his touch, then the warmth of her kiss. He may not have been well-practiced at the art of courtship, but he won her heart, didn't he? He placed his lips on her spine.
Padmé stirred slightly, but did not awaken.
Desire II
For years, Padmé Amidala's only secret desire was for a good, kindhearted man to love for the rest of her days and a family of her own.
She did find a good, kindhearted man in Anakin. She saw that much in him when he was a young boy. But he was more than that. He was a deeply devoted husband and committed to doing what was right. He was noble. He was idealistic.
Yes, he was vulnerable too.
But dear goddess, he was exciting. Breathtaking. He freed her spirit in a way no one else ever had. Alone with him, she was fully herself and not a public servant or a symbol. She valued what she was able to do for her people and she knew her role was an important one. But she beneath all of her mantles, she was still a woman. And Anakin let her enjoy being one. When she daydreamed about marriage, she never imagined the kind of passion she and Anakin shared, even if it was punctuated with separation.
She loved him so much it truly did hurt sometimes. The fire he stirred in her felt like it could completely consume her from the inside out. It frightened her a little but it thrilled her too.

Warning : Even though I think it's been obvious since the beginning I'll say this clearly for this chapter. I'm in no way portraying Anakin and Padmé in this story as a role model for a healthy relationship. Remember Anakin turned to the dark side. And Padmé has some issues with it too.
