We haven't been doing badly at all as far as entries go this week - we have 8 icons submitted as of this writing - but I've decided to extend the challenge just to see if we can squeeze out a few more. With it being the Fourth of July weekend for Americans and Canada Day this past week, a lot of folks are probably busy with real life at the moment and I wanted to give a chance to people who maybe wanted to enter the challenge but didn't have time.

Hey, folks! This is a waaaaaay late reminder and should have been up earlier this week, but real life kinda got the better of me and I didn't post. Anyway, a quick shout-out that tomorrow is the last day to submit icons to Challenge #94, as they are due tomorrow night, Saturday, July 4 at 11:00 p.m. EDT. We have 5 terrific entries thus far, and since they're by only two folks I would absolutely love to see some more!

I have to thank the other mods and banner makers who have been doing their best at keeping up with this community. I know its been very busy for you all and I want to give you all a big hug. The summer is officially in swing now and I may not be around as much since my boy is 2 years old and getting into everything :) I also wanted to thank all the members who have participated over the years.

We have over 100 maybe less since I'll be cleaning up dead journals in a moment. I'll describe a "dead" journal as journals who's last updated journal post is more than a year ago. It won't be based on participation at all because I don't see that as fair because one day you might want to add your icons one day if you like a certain challenge. So if you haven't updated your journal in over a year or you have its just not visible let me know on this post :)

LIMS Challenge:

Since its summer, I am hoping to get another LIMS started this Friday and more participants. I'll do things a bit more differently since the previous one was my first challenge. A sign up post will be going on up Friday and hopefully the first Challenge will be up Wednesday. :)

Remember I am in charge of the LIMS challenge and yes laury_kos I'll have your banner up soon :) I've been a bit swamped since my little one got sick.

Even though the last challenge hasn't yet concluded, I figured I'd put up the next one just so that we don't get too behind on our schedule. :)

I decided on another theme challenge for this week ... one of these days I'll do something other than themes for my weeks, but I do happen to like them. LOL. Anyway, as you may have guessed from the subject line, this week that theme is FAITH. You may interpret this however you wish - Anakin's faith in Padmé that she will love him and eventually marry him; the faith shown by both Padmé and Anakin on their wedding day in their love; the continuation of that faith even through the difficult times; Padmé's refusal to believe at first that Anakin has turned to the Dark Side; Padmé's assertion that good remains in Anakin/Vader, etc. I have provided some caps that you can use if you don't wish to hunt down your own, but other images are permitted for this challenge.

Challenge #94 - Faith

+ You may use the provided images, but pictures that you hunt down yourself are permitted.
+ You may NOT use the images more than once.
+ You may enter three [3] icons. No more, no less.
+ Entries must be of lj standard (100x100 'or smaller', 40 kb).
+ Brush, text, gradients etc. are welcome. No animation.
+ New fresh icons please. :)
+ Don't put your username in the file name. (example: psgshadowshamrock.png)
+ Do not post your icon anywhere else until winners are announced, this includes using it yourself. I see all the icons, so I'll know if you do this!
+ Make sure you check the rules before entering, any submission that doesn't follow the rules will not be entered.

I think I messed up the dates, so I'm extending it a week.

If you're unclear on what to do or something please let me know. I only didn't put up examples because I don't have photoshop on my computer so I can't make any icons properly... Questions, comments, let me know.

-Your icon must include the name of the community and the word "because" in the following format: "padanistillness: because (insert rest of text here)" .
-Anakin and Padme MUST be the focus of the icon.
-You may enter up to three [3] icons.
-Brushes, gradients, textures, etc as long as i am able to see the above textures are permitted.
-Entries must be of lj standard (100x100 'or smaller', 40 kb)
-Don't put your username in the file name.
-You MUST make a new icon. Trust me I will know if you don't.
-You do not have to use the images provided.
