I need a ride to Memphis!
I'm just looking to see if anyone is carpooling to Memphit Furmeet. Due to my poor financial situation, the only way it's plausible for me to make it to this con is if I can find a ride with others. I'm willing to pitch in some for gas money and I will be traveling light (all my stuff can fit in my lap and at my feet). I have a vaild PA state driver's license and am willing to take a driving shift. I live very near Pittsburgh, and can travel a limited(by public transit) distance to a meeting point if necessary. PA Roomate Search! Details here!
X-Posted to PA_Furry, PA_Furry_SE and newjerseyfurs Coming up in September (plenty of notice!) Kittrel, our Roomate Ian, and myself will be neededing a fourth roomate in our townhouse located in Warminster, PA.We had two other roomates, one has left already, and the second wants to leave in the fall, so we need someone to help fill the gap. Its cheaper to keep our current apartment (3 Bedroom, 2.5 bath) than to move to a smaller 2 bedroom unit. Ammenities include your own Bedroom! (Horray!) Washer/Dryer on site, Full kitchen with all the goodies (Fridge, Stove, Microwave, disposal, dishwasher), and a decent location near any shopping you may want to do here in Warminster. Rent and Utilities should be around 400/mo (we are currently streamlining things like cable/internet as we do the roomate transition, so we dont quite know the true monthly utilities rate just yet. Post comments here for questions or whatnot and We'll do whatever we can to answer them :D we'd really like to keep our place and well... its packed with furries, awesome, no? | 10:23 am

Because what fur doesn't like to throw their balls around! What: Eating and Bowling! When: Saturday August 1st, 7:00 PM - 12:00 PM Where: International Grill Buffet, AMF Price Lanes Details: We'll be meeting at the International Grill Buffet which is in Wilmington, DE, along Kirkwood Highway, near party city, at 7:30PM. We'll head inside grab some really delicious buffet food. Expect $15 for all you can eat plus a drink. You will be paying the restaurant directly instead of me. Around 8:30 we'll be leaving there and heading right down the road to AMF Price Lanes. We should get there just in time for cosmic bowling. Expect to bring about $15 for two games and shoes. Do I need to spend any money?Nobody is going to fault you for pinching your pennies however, buying a soda at the resteraunt, or some food from the bowling alley, helps ensure they enjoy hosting our group. How much should I bring for everything?Expect to spend about $30 for both events. Can I wear my fursuit?Fursuits at the bowling lanes are all groovy and cool as long as you're comfy signing the legal waiver. However do not suit to the buffet. For practicalities sake as well as good will with the restaurant. Tails/ears however are encouraged. Just remember that it's on a Saturday and will more than likely be a bit crowded with mundane folk. [EVENT] Pittsburgh Monthly Fur Meet! 7/9/09!
Pittsburgh's Monthly Fur Meet! When: Thursday, July 9, 2009 Time: 7-9pm Where: Schenley Plaza, under the Tent Structure. http://www.pittsburghparks.org/schenleyplaza (In the event of rain: Panera Bread (Oakland), 3401 Boulevard of the Allies, Pgh, PA 15213) With summer upon us, we should take advantage of the warm weather and longer evenings and try an capture an out of doors venue where we can not only sit, relax and enjoy the free WiFi, but also play a little. Schenley Plaza allows for a covered sitting area, as well as grassy areas for throwing frisbees and the Quad area which has been popular with those playing lazer tag. Food and drinks are available just up the road at the 7-11 on Forbes Avenue, or at the many eateries another block down the road. Schenley Plaza is a part of the City Parks Conservatory. Fursuits, ears and tails are welcome, just use your judgment when dealing with the public. Pets, and their responsible owners, are also welcome at Schenley Plaza. In the event of rain, we will return to our old home at the Panera Bread on the Blvd of the Allies in Oakland. It is my hope that with the semester out and most of the college students away, this location will not be overcrowded. The meet is what you make of it, so come on out and have some fun with fellow Pittsburgh Area furs! Don't forget to bring and show off your con badges if you have them! PA-Furry- DevilPony's Codorus Park PCD meet details
X-posted to PA-Furry email list / LJ, eastcoastfurs LJ , and MDfurs LJ. So, you're sitting at home, bored out of your mind. AC has come and gone yet again, with the force of a Mack truck ramming you into a brick wall, and now you're wondering how to pick up the pieces of what's left of your life... or not. Well, we've got an answer. Come on out to Codorus State Park with us for food, hanging out, and good times for all. Whether you're coming back from AC and need your fix of furry goodness, or didn't make it and want a chance to meet some people anew, come along out and soak up some sunlight with us. Starting at 11 AM on Saturday the 25th and continuing until sunset, we'll be cooking up some meats and meat by-products on the grill, and then sojourning to the on-site swimming pool to cool off after some time to socialize. Be aware that there is a small admission fee for the pool- $5 for in-state residents, $10 for out-of-staters. You MUST bring a photo ID to get the discounted rate. Bringing outside food or drinks to the pool area is a no-no, but they will have a concession stand available for last-minute munchies and such. Disc golf, Bike trail-riding, Hiking, Fishing, and lots of other fun stuffs are some of the local amusements within the park if you're not interested in swimming, or just want to enjoy the park. For Disc Golfers, please bring whatever is required, as we don't currently have a set of our own equipment. Later in the evening, we'll be heading back into York proper for food (dinner). We're looking at doing Sushi at a favorite local hang out, Tokyo Diner. They do a mean hibachi as well, so if you're like me and would rather pass for some steak and rice, feel free to wander along. Afterwards we'll be likely heading home, where we have crash space for a handful or so furs to join us, please let us know in advance if you'd like to stay over so we can plan accordingly. *IMPORTANT NOTES:* *If you're coming, PLEEEEEASE RSVP. I can't stress this enough. It will help us get a headcount for food and make sure we're stocked. Also, as for lunch, we're looking to make this a 'pot luck' affair. Everyone who's joining us, please either help us out with food or 'pony' up $5 to help us defray costs. If you can let us know what you'll be bringing when you RSVP, it'd be appreciated so we can plan accordingly and don't have 20 bags of chips and no soda/etc ;p Also, please check links below for any rules/etc of the park.* Date: Saturday, July 25 Location: Codorus State Park, Swimming Pool Day Use Area Times: We'll be starting at 11 AM to beat the influx of summer picnickers and to secure our spot at the grill, with a few hours of socializing and general goofing off to be had after lunch. Hrm. Long shot, I know, and I'll ask around other places too..... but would anyone going to AC from the SouthEastern PA area have room for 2 folks in their vehicle coming back Monday? My 2 friends from the UK were going to be riding with me but due to anxiety problems I can't go. They have a ride there with other friends of mine, but those folks will be leaving Sunday and these 2 would prefer to leave Monday as they have a room until then. Due to the weather forecast, the BBQ WILL be held at the Kingston First Aid Squad... 4280 US Route 27 in Kingston NJ 08528 which is on at the corner of US Route 27 and Raymond Rd... look for the driveway entrances located about 50 yards East before each intersection on either Rt 27 or Raymond Rd.. if you get to the light you went just a little too far.Due to township regulations.. NO ALCOHOL can be served.

FYI.. if you have a GPS.. it MAY bring you down the road by the police station.. if it does.. just turn around and go North ACROSS Rt 571.. The Orchard will be on the Right side past the shopping center.All I ask is that everyone bring something.. Whether it's snacks... BBQ food.. beverages, Etc.... I'm really low on funds this time around so I really need as much help as I can get here. Crash space is avail if needed... try and bring pillows/blankets. Sunday will have an outing to the Children's hospital.. Have a fursuit? bring it... also need some spotters as well so if you don't feel up to suiting or don't have one... no worries you'll be helpful :)...
