Tutorial: SPN John Winchester

I was going to post the tutorial when I saw this! Wow, now I'm really speechless, you guys rock. Thank you!
I know I promised a request post for 2000 watchers, but I didn't expect it to be so soon after the last one, so I'll leave it to you. If you're interested, I'll put one up.
A tutorial for an icon from this batch, requested by
ghosts.

Made In Photoshop CS, not translatable.
1. Duplicate your base and set it to Screen.
->
2. Since I want a coloring that focuses more on yellow and green there's too much red.
The complementary color for red is green, so let's add that with a Color Balance layer. I do the color correction in Midtones, and some minor touch ups in Shadows.
Midtones 0 +24 0
Shadows +7 +1 +3
Highlights 0 0 0
->
3. To increase the yellow tones, add a color fill layer in a vanilla shade (#ede6ba) and set it to Overlay 15%.
->
4. Add Curves layer to lighten the image a bit more. I like to have my images rather light, it's easier to apply different colors that way and can be easily corrected later.
RGB: I: 131 O: 159
->
5. Now we work on the coloring. I said I want it greenish, so add green at first with two dark red/brownish fill layers, set to Exclusion.
The image will look dull at first, but the following steps will take care of that.
#2b0c03 35% opacity
#230d04 100% opacity
->
6. He's not an alien with green skin, so let's work on that. For skin increase red and yellow to get a natural color. Here I also added blue highlights for more contrast and a nice glow.
Set that layer to 28% opacity.
Midtones +74 -20 -26
Shadows +14 0 -43
Highlights -30 0 +21
->
7. Copy merge everything and paste it as a new layer (Ctrl+AltShift+E). Set it to Screen 59%.
->
8. The next step is admittedly just me fiddling around until I found something that I liked. The joys of experimenting ;)
New Selective Color layer
Red
Cyan: -44
Magenta: +36
Yellow: +26
Black: 0
Yellows
Cyan: -38
Magenta: 0
Yellow: +6
Black: +18
Neutrals
Cyan: +5
Magenta: -4
Yellow: -29
Black: +37
->
9. For more stronger colors add a Hue/Saturation layer. Move it under the layer from the previous step.
Saturation +29
->
10. Not bad. His hair and his collar are too red, darken them with a Levels layer.
Set it to 58% and move it above the second Exclusion layer.
RGB: Input levels: 5 0,82 255
->
11. To take away some contrast and brightness add this texture and set it to Color Burn 15%.
+
->
12. Still much too bright for my taste. Select a soft round brush with 200px and paint on a new layer:
Click once in the upper left corner, so that only a quarter circle is visible. Use a Gaussian Blur with 10px on it and set it to Soft Light 73 %. Move that layer between the second Exclusion layer and the Levels layer.
