AboutThis community is for adults over the age of 21; no one under 21 will be allowed in this community. Livejournal has 100's of journals for teenagers but there are very few communities about mental health that are just for adults. Adults and teenagers have different experiences with depression.
Depression: An illness that involves the body, mood, and thoughts. It affects the way a person eats and sleeps, the way one feels about oneself, and the way one thinks about things. Without treatment, symptoms can last for weeks, months, or years.
Since this is a community for adults, there shouldn't have to be too many rules;
1. You must have your full birth date shown in your profile, verifying that you are over 21.
2. Respect other members.
3. Stay on topic - no immature whinging posts (i.e. "My life is over because my boyfriend broke up with me").
