It's getting into the New Year, and with that comes a lot of changes here at overrides. Here are some of the things YOU need to know:

01. There have been some changes made to our RULES. Please take a moment to view our PROFILE, and get to know them.
02. Posting access has now been given to ALL members. Any memeber wishing to post a layout of their creation may do so. Please remember to use the FORM found HERE when posting a layout, and please keep in mind that all posts are moderated.
03. We also have a new post called "Meet Your Mods". This post will be updated as new moderators are added, and is the place for you to leave all of your questions/comments/concernts. All comments are SCREENED, and someone will get back to you shortly.
04. We have noticed that some people are WATCHING the community, but are not MEMBERS. If this applies to you, please remember to JOIN the community or you will not be able to see the layouts. Anyone who is still watching but not yet a member by January 31st will be removed.
05. I have started going through all of the older entries, deleted any with broken links, and tagged all of the rest for easier searching. Make sure you check out our layouts from __lookitssteve, diminished, jetmeiko, kuzulamb04 and respect that were posted in 2006!

Moon Witch: S2 Smooth Sailing Layout

It is an S2 Smooth Sailing layout, so I have also included instructions on how to install it into your journal. This layout allows or several boxes for "free text". If you wish to include your layout credit on the layout by putting it in one of these boxes, that is fine,but please be sure to include the artists name for the header (found in the top part of the coding) and the credit to the designer for the base code (also found in the top part of the coding). This layout also comes with a Friends Only Banner if you use it, please credit me.

INSTRUCTIONS:

NOTE: After each section that you change, you may be asked if you want to save your changes before going on to the next section. You must select YES each time.

STEP 1: Open http://www.livejournal.com/customize/ in a new window

STEP 2: This layout rquires you to have a journal title and subtitle, so you can enter whatever your little heart desires. The link that talks about modifying your link list is pretty easy to follow once you click into it, having a link list is optional, and best saved until after you are finished installing your layout . In the Style System section, make sure you select S2.

STEP 3: Click on the Look and Feel tab. You will see that it says "Layout & Language", "Themes", and "Mood Icons". Make sure that you ONLY CHANGE your layout (underneath where it says "Your layout will determine your theme options.") Change it to "Smooth Sailing" You can leave everything else the way it is (unless you want to change your mood theme, but again that is completely optional).

STEP 4: Click on the Custom Options tab. Here you will see many options. Here is where you make the most changes.

In the PRESENTATION section make sure you change the following:
Userinfo Position in Entries: RIGHT
Wrap Entry text under userinfo: YES
Userinfo Position in Comments: Right
Wrap Comment text under userinfo: Yes

In the MENU section make sure you change the following:
Show Memories link on Menubar: No
Show Website link from User info Page: No

In the SIDEBAR section make sure you change the following:
Profile Position: hide
Summary Position: hide or position 1-4
Latest Month Position: hide or position 1-4
Links Visibility: MUST hide. Please input your links in a free text box instead.
Tags Position: hide or position 1-4
Multisearch Position: hide or position 1-4

NOTE: You can only have a MAXIMUM of 4 boxes at the top.
As you can see from my preview, I used free text area (blurb) (positions 1 & 4), latest month (position 2) & tags (position 3).

STEP 5: After you have completed the steps above, click on the Custom CSS sub-tab

Make sure you change the following:
Use layout stylesheet: Yes
Use layout's stylesheet(s) when including custom external stylesheet: YES
Scroll down to where it says "Custom Style Sheet" and paste the codes that I have provided in this post.

STEP 6: Save your changes and enjoy your new layout!

S2 Flexible Squares - 4 color schemes

First off:
This layout is for basic and plus accounts.
There are four color schemes. You may, of course, edit the colors if none suit you. :)
I have four live previews, two using a basic account and two using a plus account.

Download the overrides:
Download - the colors on the layout correspond with the name of the .txt file.

Installation:
1. For basic accounts, you must have a website defined in your userinfo.
2. Style: S2 Flexible Squares
3. Under Custom Options, set the Journal Width to 60.
4. Click Sidebar. "Set sidebar position" to Right.
5. Click Custom CSS. The order of the drop down menus: yes, no, no.
6. Paste overrides in Custom stylesheet box.
7. Get rid of the navigation strip for the layout to look right. Go to Manage > Viewing Options > Navigation Strip. At #2, make sure the two boxes are unchecked. [Image]
