Remember me posting about my volunteer job running an afterschool program?  With all the kids with weird names?

Well, today, Alexis goes to Isaiah: Do you watch Drake & Josh?
Isaiah: Yeah
Alexis: Well, have you seen the one where Drake is like, "Sorry, Drake moved to Australia?" in the very beginning? (she did that REALLY WELL too!)
Isaiah: Yeah.  And the one where the ride the, um....um....
In my head: The Demonator, The Demonator!
Isaiah: Oh, the um, the Demonator!
Alexis: Yeah, I love that one!

Then, later, Alexis said "Sorry, Drake moved to Austalia" again, and I finally burst out with, "They're making a Drake & Josh Christmas movie, you know."
Alexis: O.O *jaw drops*
Isaiah: Really?
Shelby: I saw Drake in concert last year
Rainbow: I hate to say this, but um, Josh looks kind of fat.
Alexis: Oh yeah, he does.
Me: *bites tongue* *wants to say "first of all, he gets hot at the end of the show, second of all OMG that doesn't matter at all!"*


Now, unrelated to that...I always thought I was a lot more attached to Jillian than she was to me, but now when I barely miss her, she's practically dying without me.  And that makes me...really happy.  I mean...knowing that I'm missed.  Not that she's dying.

I know, I know...I'm supposed to be over him.  But...

I talked to Auri via text and IM for like, 4 1/2 hours tonight, no joke.  We haven't done that for like, a couple weeks...since he told me that he knew i liked him.  It made me happy.  Yay, things aren't overly weird!

I still think we'd be an awesome couple.  He's like, the guy me.  And I'm the girl him.  Example: he said something ridiculous.
Me: I don't know about you
Him: No one does.
Me: And I bet it's because you don't let them know about you.
Him: Exactly
Me: And how do I know that?  Magic!  No, really because I'm the same way.

*knows she is being stupid*  Right.  Yeah.  I know.

Another convo:
Him: Whatcha doin?
Me: Writing porn, you? [I was really writing porn, may I add]
Him: Watching tv????????
Me: I was kidding [no I wasn't]
Him: Riiight
Me: No, didn't you know?  I write porn in my spare time [I do]
Him: Well, I do now...
Me: I'm still kidding.  But what if I did write porn?
Him: Then that would be shocking because I'd never expect it of you
Me: Well, they say you have to watch the quiet ones
Him: I don't bother, I'm one too.

...And it's pathetic that I have memorized these convos.

IN other news, Saturday is National Coming Out Day.  I might come out to someone...not sure who yet.  Because in RL?  I'm way back in fucking Narnia.

Well, we've done it.  We've officially decided to go ahead with this project.

Katybeth and I have started a temporary comm for the organization and logistics--dj_manifesto.  We've decided to make it a moderated membership community; we don't want to be exclusive, but we kind of need to limit things.  Just to keep things under control.

Anyone who expressed interest in either Katybeth's or my original post should have an invitation--check under the communities drop-down for "manage invites".  It's there.

So, my best friend Jillian is at school, at University of Maine Farmington, right?

Her first year seminar is on Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

They have homework to watch Buffy.  And write papers on eps.

And dude?  They HAVE TO READ FIC FOR HOMEWORK. 

The professor EXPLAINED THE TERMS SLASH AND PWP,  SO MY FRIEND NOW KNOWS WHAT THAT MEANS.

OMG you guys.  I was jealous of the Buffy course to start with.  But now that the have to read FIC?  I AM SO JEALOUS.

So, Katybeth and I were talking...what else is new...and we had the most awesome idea EVER.

Three word: D&J.  Ship.  Manifesto.

Yes, it's been tossed around for awhile...sometimes considered...but nothing much has ever come of it.  I mean, understandable.  Writing a WHOLE HUGE manifesto solo?  Very daunting.

Enter our idea.

The whole fandom gets in on it.  Your involvement can be as heavy or light as you like--and I'm just gonna copy Katybeth here--"any little bit of help, from donating screencaps, to writing up a section for a specific episode, to assembling and polishing entire sections, would be awesome. We'd divide up the work, and then put together and polish and make everyone's bits flow into the overall manifesto."  Very much a fandom project.

And, timing wise...MCD&J in December.  If we were done with this by early November, we could pimp it out, stir up new, old, and dying interest, just in time to get tons of people to watch MCD&J and bring fandom to life again.
