| About: | This is a closed community, an exchange of fictional letters for a story set in an alternate urban time when monsters walk the earth unseen, and a boy is sacrificed in place of a queen to an old and unnatural curse. Also, his cousin. And belly dancing, though not necessarily in combination. Things that abound in the letters of the character Athens: lewdness, nakedness (half-described, because he's writing to his cousin, and no, not that kind of cousin), belly-dancing, knights, blood, belly-dancing, whining about the quality of the ink, whining about the quality of the paper, belly-dancing. What can we say, Athens is a very focused boy. Things that abound in the letters of his cousin Val: words. Except there's a lot more than that, sort of. Like rambling, obsessiveness, pining, fantastical idealogies, fading innocence, confusion, otherworld notions, rambling obsessions with fantastic otherworldliness. He used to be a nice, well-mannered boy. Used to be. A long time ago. You must be known to the letter-gamers in order to join the community. Not that you'd much want to, otherwise. | |
