| _Main Characters:_ Fujioka, Haruhi School: Ouran Institute Class: 1-A Suoh, Tamaki School: Ouran Institute Class: 2-A Tamaki is the president of the Host Club, the founding of which was his idea. The usual instigator of all of the Host Club's antics, Tamaki is prone to dramatics and often acts without thinking or overreacts to trivial things. Despite his foolish and arrogant behaviour, Tamaki is kind and generous, and is easily moved by the distress of others, even strangers. Ootori, Kyouya School: Ouran Institute Class: 2-A Kyouya is the "cool type" of the club, he is extremely intelligent and quite calculating, capable of manipulating events to serve any number of purposes. Although Tamaki is the official leader of the club, Kyouya can easily influence Tamaki when he wants, and in a conflict between two of the other members of the club, they follow Kyouya's lead, causing Haruhi to refer to him privately as the "Shadow King." Hitachiin, Hikaru School: Ouran Institute Class: 1-A Hitachiin, Kaoru School: Ouran Institute Class: 1-A Haninozuka, Mitsukuni "Hani" School: Ouran Institute Class: 3-A Mitsukuni is the "Loli-shōta" host and always goes by the nickname "Hani". Despite the fact that he looks like a child and always carries a stuffed toy bunny named "Usa-chan" with him, Hani is a senior in Ouran High School and one of the club's oldest, and most "experienced" member. Morinozuka, Takashi "Mori" School: Ouran Institute Class: 3-A Takashi is the tallest, most silent member of the club. Despite the fact that he rarely speaks or smiles, his tall, tanned, and handsome figure earns him many customers. In contrast to Hani, who is bad-tempered when he wakes up, Mori becomes uncharacteristically talkative and friendly when he is tired, which proves to comically frighten the other hosts. _Other Characters:_ Sonoda, Isao "Misuzu" Misuzu is Ranka's colleague at the okama bar. He runs a pension in Karuizawa, Nagano. Yasumura, Mei Misuzu's daughter, who hates her father for being a cross dresser, as it was the reason for her parents' divorce. Misuzu then managed to get the Fujiokas to keep an eye on her for a while. After some work by the Host Club, Mei managed to reconcile with Misuzu. Yasumura is the surname of her step-father (During the divorce, Mei's custody was awarded to her mother.). She's also the only non-Host Club member to appear on the volume covers of the series. Arai Sendou, Tetsuya Tonerre, Eclaire She is a anime-only character! She was supposed to be Tamaki's fiancee but her arranged marriage with Tamaki was stopped by Haruhi! (of course!!!!!), but not without the help of the rest of the Host Club. ________________________________ | _Student Characters:_ Houshakuji, Renge School: Ouran Institute Class: 1-A The Host Club's (self-proclaimed) manageress. Amusingly enough, Renge has proven an asset to the Host Club as a manageress on several occasions. It would seem a favorite dating sims game of hers would be called 'Uki Doki Memorial'. The characters in uki doki memorial almost look like the Host Club members themselves. Nekozawa, Umehito School: Ouran Institute Class: 3-D Nekozawa, Umehito (almost always referred to by only his last) hates bright light to the point that he calls anyone who drags him into the light as 'murderers'. Kanatsuki, Reiko School: Ouran Institute Class: 1-D Reiko had a crush on Hani. However, due to her shyness (and obsession with curses), the Host Club initially had the wrong impression that she was out to do Hani harm. After some words from Hani, Reiko decided to try and overcome her shyness. She also became a regular at the Host Club. She is also the second member of the Black Magic Club to be named. Takaoji, Shiro School: Ouran Elementary Class: Elementary 5-A Kamishiro, Hina School: ? Class: Elementary 5-A She used to go attend school at Ouran Elementary before she moved to germany. Souga, Kazukiyo School: Ouran Institute Class: 1-A The Class President of 1-A, Kazukiyo suffers from nyctophobia and a fear of just about anything else that is scary. He has romantic feelings for Class 1-A's Vice President, Momoka, whom he has known for years, but he is initially too shy to come out and say anything. Kurakano, Momoka School: Ouran Institute Class: 1-A The Class Vice-President of 1-A. She conducts class meetings with Kazukiyo and has new-found respect for him after he put up with the Halloween ordeal. She is a frequent client of Haruhi in the Host Club. Jonouchi, Ayame School: Ouran Institute Class: 2-A She only had a small appearance in the flash back scene of ep 24, other than that she only appears in the manga. Kasugazaki, Kanako School: Ouran Institute Class: 2-B Suzushima, Tooru School: Ouran Institute Class: 2-C Ayanokoji School: Ouran Institute Class: 3-A Ayanokoji was once a regular customer belonging to Tamaki in till she was banned from the host club. Ritsu, Kasanoda School: Ouran Institute Class: 3-D Amakusa, Benio "Benibara" School: Saint Roberia Institute Class: 2-? The President of the Zuka Club. Benio is also known as "The Lady of the Red Rose". Benio doesn't exactly help matters; she flirts with girls as easily as Tamaki does. Maihara, Chizuru "Suzuran" School: Saint Roberia Institute Class: 2-? The Vice President of the Zuka Club, also known as "The Lady of the Lily". Chizuru is outwardly the most placid member of the ruling council, but this counts for nothing; she never objects to any of the Club's plans, but rather assists and makes things worse. Tsuwabuki, Hinako "Hinagiku" School: Saint Roberia Institute Class: 1-? One of the leading members of the Zuka Club, known as "The Lady of the Daisy". Hinako is the youngest member of the club's leading council and arguably the most energetic of the three. ________________________________ | _Family Characters:_ Fujioka, Ryoji "Ranka" Suoh, Yuzuru Patriarch of the Suou family, Yuzuru shares some of his son's characteristics. To date, his only act of rebellion against his mother's wishes seems to be that he did not simply break off his relationship with Tamaki's mother, but instead divorced the woman his mother had chosen for him. Ootori, Yoshio Patriarch of the Ootori family, Yoshio is portrayed as a cold, calculating father. Shido, Fuyumi Kyouya's older sister. She clearly cares for her younger brother and tries to help him in life; apparently she is somewhat lacking in the areas of housework and organization, but she appears to be a kind-hearted person. Haninozuka, Yasuchika "Chika" School: Ouran Junior High Class: Third Year - Class A Chika is Hani's younger brother. He hates his brother for liking sweets and having some type of alien communication with usa-chan. Like his older brother, (in the manga) he sometimes has little birds (instead of pink flowers) appear around him. Morinozuka, Satoshi School: Ouran Junior High Class: Third Year - Class A Satoshi has the complete opposite personality of his elder brother, being very lively and cheerful. However, like Takashi, Satoshi has a strong sense of loyalty towards the Haninozukas, and he frequently hits Yasuchika on the head whenever he feels that his friend was being rude.
