Title: Confessions and Realizations
Challenge: Better
Rating: G
Genre: General
Pairings/Characters: Hikaru, one-sided Hikaru/Haruhi, Haruhi/Tamaki
Warnings: none
Summary: Hikaru decides to keep a journal after Haruhi chooses Tamaki over him. He has some maturing to do, and wants to be someone that Haruhi can respect.
Notes: When I saw what the challenge was, I immediately thought of Hikaru. He used to be my least favorite host boy, but he's really grown on me as I've seen how he's changed throughout the series. This is an attempt at 1st person, and though it was fun as a writing exercise, I also learned that he and I have some things in common.

Hikaru's Major Life Goal and a little blue book that even Kaoru would never read )

Title: Two Is Better
Rating: PG-13 (?)
Genre: Romance
Pairings or Characters:  HikaruxKyouyaxKaoru (OT3)
Warnings: hinted adult content, Unbeta-ed, BoyxBoy
Summary:  I was held against my will if you may, sandwiched between both of them; I didn't have much choice in the matter.

Title: Perfection
Rating: PG-13
Genre: Family
Pairings or Characters: Fuyumi-centric with the whole Ootori clan, her husband, and a couple notes of the Host Club ((healthy dose of FuyumixOC, but since it's the husband we already know she has, it almost doesn't count))
Warnings: Perfection complex and epilepsy
Summary: She had to be perfect--that was the Ootori way. She had to be, especially when making up for the inperfections of her mother. She just had to be. Twenty-six short sections, covering from birth through life, of Fuyumi Ootori.

I had to link off site--LiveJournal wouldn't let me post the entire thing as one, and I figured it was too much of a pain to post it in two parts.

We have ZERO entries so far for the "Better" challenge. Your entries are still due July 24th, so I hope people can enter.

If this challenge falls dead, I'm going to have to think of some ways to either improve this community or if we should close it.

Good luck, members! I hope we can keep things alive here.

We have 191 members at this community and only 3 votes for the current challenge. Please PLEASE PLEASE take a moment to vote in the "Author's Choice" challenge at the original post. We need all the participation we can get to keep this community alive.

Voting has become a really pressing issue at this community, moreso than submissions. The voting process is just as important, if not more, as the submission process is. It not only encourages people to post more for each theme, but it also helps determine winners of a contest, which is the original mission of this community. Every vote is important. Commenting on entries goes beyond the idea of participation and makes this place even more enjoyable.

If things don't pick up by the end of the week, I may be forced to close down this community. Please support us and become an active member.

Thanks.

Title: Author's Choice
Genre: gen
Rating: G
Pairings: None, really, although a few are hinted at.
Warnings: None. Takes place in the animeverse inasmuch as it assumes none of the plot-progression that the manga has developed since the end of the anime. Like I said, it's gen. Very gen. Kyouya's POV (although that's not what I had intended when I started writing it...)
Words: 1,509
Summary: Kyouya couldn’t tell how “What’s your ideal Cinderella story?” was in any way, shape or form related to the notion of “manly romance.”

Title:The Little Surprises

Rating: G

Genre: Gen

Pairings or Characters: All Hosts

Warnings: None

Summary: Six days from the POV of the Twins. Very Short. My first attempt at Ouran Fic

The Little Surprises )

ETA: Sorry, sorry! Coding mishap. Stupid Rich Text. Should be fixed now.

Title: Rendition
Rating: PG
Genre: Friendship/Cryptic comparisons
Pairings or Characters: Hosts with very (VERY) cryptic mentions of Tamaki/Eclair
Warnings: none, besides my overly abused comparisons of the Host Club to a play
Summary:  --so that, conclusions to be as kisses, if your four negatives make your two affirmatives why then, the worse for my friends and the better for my foes-- Tamaki attempts to atone after the fiasco with Eclair. Cryptic stage-drabble.

Title: Pictures of You
Rating: G
Genre: romance/family
Pairings and Characters: Haruhi's parents (Ryouji x Kotoko). Haruhi makes an appearance as well.
Warnings: sappy sappy fluff, slight spoilers for the latest chapter of the manga (which you can read here if you haven't yet).
Summary: Sifting through old photographs, Ryouji immerses himself in memories of his wife.
Link: Pictures of You

Recently I've been addicted to writing about the Suoh-Grantaine family. Now, I'm also addicted to writing about the Fujioka family XD I wonder who will be next. This entire fic was brought on by chapter 70.5 of the manga, which was the cutest thing I've ever read.

Title: Two Sugars, Milk
Rating: G
Genre: Introspection?
Pairings or Characters: onesided Kyouya/Anne-Sophie
Warnings: Manga spoilers, I guess, if you don't know who Anne-Sophie is.
Notes: I got distracted by shiny new fandoms and haven't participated in a while. I've been going through some of my unfinished fics to try and shake off a spell of writer's block. I started this short fic right after reading the chapter where Anne-Sophie appears. I haven't read much beyond that.
Summary: Kyouya takes his tea too sweet and tries to stifle his inner child.

( Voicing anything to her is a struggle unlike any he has ever experienced. )

Title: Telegram from Ems
Rating: PG
Genre: Drama, Romance
Pairings or Characters: Kyouya x Éclair
Warnings: None
Summary: The letters are sent, words said, actions done. Neither side can play ignorant now.

"He is Germany and she is France. And so they begin their game..."
