Hi, OTW was incorporated as non-profit organisation in the summer and is currently seeking 501©3 status. It's anticipated that we'll get that status next year and all donations will then be tax-exempt.

That is tax-exempt in the US, right? As far as I know it won't make a difference in my country as long as the organization isn't incorporated here or somewhere in the EU (I think we are still waiting for the court decision). Could you find out? If it doesn't make a difference anyway, there is no reason to wait with donations. :)

Hi!

Yes, the 501©3 status is only applicable in the US. And our understanding of international law is the same, the org needs to incorporate in each EU country to be able to give tax exemption status, a project that we just don't have the resources to handle. (Ideally, we hope that someone will work with us and incorporate OTW France and OTW Japan in the future.)
