We're not passing major judgement on who you are, just weeding out trolls and bots and such. This means that if you've just created your journal within the past few weeks and it's still empty, or it's all friends-locked and we can't get a sense of you from your profile, you're not likely to get added right away. There's no need to submit multiple join requests -- we got it the first time. If you think we missed you or you're wondering what's taking so long, please email us, don't "join" again.

Some rules:
- Play nice, and be mature. No one likes a community which has degenerated into mindless bashing, hate and trolling. Note the difference between being a mature and respectable devil's advocate vs. being a demeaning troll whose comments only produce name-calling and bashing instead of meaningful debate or soul-search. Please be aware that while the moderators do read all posts to the community, we may not read all comments. Ergo, if you feel you are being harassed in comments, please send the mods an email and we will look into it. Please don't bother to send emails to tell us that someone is harassing somebody ELSE. If that person isn't complaining, we are not going to do anything about it. Just complaining that you don't like somebody's style is not likely to get a lot of action, either.
While open questioning and challenge is good, please do not disparage other people's beliefs. There's a big difference between questioning others and judging others. It is possible to level some amount of criticism without being snarky or condescending.
If we find you are deleting or screening comments that other people have left on your posts, you will be banned. No second chances. We will not tolerate this type of censorship. In fact we would like to avoid as much censorship as possible.
Additionally, we ask that you do not delete your own posts (or edit them to the equivalent... editing to add information is one thing, but replacing your post with a blank edit is equivalent to deletion). This deprives everyone of the ability to form their own opinions on any given topic and only worsens drama. It removes your input and the input of everyone else who commented, and leads to rumors and resentment. - Please do not ask us what you are. You are the only person who can know who and what you are. However, asking to compare notes ("I think I may be Such-And-Such, does anyone have any more information so I can do more research?"), is cool.
- Off-topic posts will be deleted. If you feel a post of yours was wrongfully deleted, please feel free to discuss it via private e-mail. This ought to be obvious, but clearly it isn't: quizzes and memes are "off-topic". So is any form of solicitation. Also, do not post copyrighted material! If you are not sure if a specific post is on or off-topic email a moderator to check, it certainly doesn't hurt.
- This is not an "adult" community. Yes, we expect you to act like adults, however, this site is open and easily viewable by people who are under 18. In other words: no porn.
- This is not a support group. We expect that people will treat others with a modicum of maturity and respect, but if you come in here expecting that others will just accept everything you say and never question your statements about yourself, please do yourself a favor and walk right back out again. People will NOT treat you with respect if you come in here with some wild story about how you're the Mother of All Things and everyone better wear a sweater. If this isn't clear, feel free to talk to one of the mods about it.
- Tags. They are currently not required, however we would encourage them to be used specifically for posts relating to otherkin gatherings and the like... stuff that other posters considering attending would find very useful to read about.
