Hello and Welcome to

otaku_claims! Here you can claim an Anime/Manga Character or a Pairing! Fangirls and Fanboys are all welcome. Your claims can be from a series, a manga, or a movie! Just as long as it's anime. You can claim any type of pairing (it can be yaoi or yuri if you would like) and any character you want. You can claim females, males, demons, and a spawn of satan if you want! Just be sure to follow the rules while you're at it ^_~.

Claim Format

Rules
1. Join the Community to make a claim. I'm sorry if this is really obvious, but if you haven't joined, then you can't claim! Simple as that. If you are not in the community/you leave the community, you will no longer have the claim, and it shall be taken off the list.
2. Only 1 pairing amd 1 character per user.Mods are allowed to make 3 claims if they wish. Sometimes if the Mods take a certain liking to you, the will grant you the power of an extra claim. Weather you want another pairing or another character! It's really quite easy to get. You might've said something cool/funny/nice or maybe they just like your personality!
3. Make sure to check the claim list before claiming something. This is REALLY important. We wouldn't want you to accidentally claim somebody that was already taken! If you by chance did not see it and claimed them, we will leave a comment, and your post will be deleted. Don't worry, we won't be angry! We know mistakes happen ^_^. Also, the claims list is not updated 24/7 (sadly) and you may have to check a few of the previous posts before claiming. You CAN claim characters or pairings from an anime/manga that is not on the list. The claims list gets more series as we get more claims! ^_^
4. Do not claim REAL people or anybody who is not in an anime/manga. Claim the CHARACTER or PAIRING. We don't want you to be claiming real people (such as voices or actors). We do not have a right to do that. Please make sure you are claiming somebody FICTIONAL. And please refrain from claiming non-anime characters! This is not what the community is for!
5. Do not flame anyone who has already claimed something you want. Just get over it. I apologize very deeply if the character/pairing you wanted is already taken. But PLEASE do not go and flame and throw a hissy fit. Your comments WILL be deleted! We don't want anyone getting hurt. We are a nice and happy community (perhaps a little obsessive)! There are MANY other claiming communities all over livejournal. Just find one and go claim crazy.
6. Please use the claim format when claiming somebody. Some of the information found in the claim format is VERY useful to the mods! If

squishyorb has no idea what anime/manga your character is from, she won't know where to place your claim on the list! It's also fun to be able to see how pretty your claim is XD. The claim format also makes it a little more interesting when claiming somebody, instead of just going around posting "I claim ___, kthxbye".
7. Please refrain from swearing and using course language.SOME of us would prefer it if you didn't talk like that. We don't want anybody getting offended or anything! This is a happy community where everyone should be using happy language! Got that?
8. Do not plug other communities. Please don't advertise your community in here! We are for claiming and claiming only! If you wish we WILL affliate with your community/journal! Just contact a mod and they'll be happy to do it (and they'll love the publicity XD).

Claiming Banners
After claiming somebody you can feel free to make a banner to post in your userinfo (or anywhere else). This is not a problem. If you can't make a banner yourself

dragonspeaker will be glad to help you out ^_^. Comment on one of the public entries and please provide an image =D. Also,
