| Tonight at approximately 10:17 (June 26) a solo member of the akatsuki by the name of Kakuzu (for those that would know that) infiltrated Konoha.
The native version of Kamizuki Izumo was taken by the Akatsuki memeber and a fight ensued with SEBU operative Umino Iruka, Konoha Jounin Hatake Kakashi, and newly arrived resident ANBU in another Konoha Yamaka Ino. Before ANBU arrived, but Iruka and Kakashi were injured and Izumo was killed by Kakuzu. Before morning the blood was cleaned off of the Hokage monument, but the information the man had been pinned to Tuande's face while the monument was decorated with intestines and blood would be well known. | |

| There is an upcoming event that will happen in Konoha involving an Akatsuki attack.
The attack is scheduled for June 24th and will something everyone will quickly know about when it happens, so we will want to have it fleshed out by then.
Essentially the plot is a case of mistaken identity where a hit against mabu!izumo end up potentially killing nk!izumo instead.
Anyone intereted, please reply to this post and I will work with people to try to get as many people as want to be involved involved in some way. however, it is just a Akatsuki hit so it isn't going to be a huge epic battle. | |

| March 20th was like any other day in Konoha. The village was peaceful and as spring took hold of the village, trees started to flower and children played in the parks. Life was going on as if it were any other beautiful spring day until the movements of shinobi became more pronounced as the sun set.
The dark red sun hanging low in the sky haralded in a darker time. Suddenly as night fell, Akatsuki attacked. Lead by their mysterious leader, Pain, blood and the sound of metal on metal filled the air. Then, as suddenly as it started, it was over. The village remained in place, apparently unharmed. A strange Chakra hung over Konoha though, this Konoha was different. It had never experienced the comings and going of other-worldy copied of it's inhabitants. No, the Konoha that had stood here since the founding was gone, in it's place, a new Konoha stood.
For a time, the residents of both this new Konoha and the world around it did not realize the switch. That was the reason Pain retreated, his masterful jutsu to destroy Konoha had failed and the events needed to be analyzed. But, perhaps it did work. Who would know, for that Konoha is gone and a new one has taken it's place. As day dawns on Konoha, the illusion of normalcy will be shattered as the sun shined on different buildings and people, the latest victims of Orochimaru's Agenda. | |

| Plot - ongoing Akatsuki plot to obtain all Jinchuriki

Developement - The Akatsuki have captured the 5 tail. The 5 tail proved more difficult than expected and using it's powers of earthquakes (since no canon powers existed for the 5 tail, we went with the mythological powers) it caused massive destruction up to and including destruction of an Akatsuki base and injuries to Pein.
How this has / will effect characters -
IC!Kabuto - He was freed from the prison cell along with several other prisoners.
Jinchou - where abouts are unknown after this event
IC!Pein - Will be letting himself heal at an undisclosed location after the 5tails extraction
Other Akatsuki - Have orders to search out the missing prisoners. This will cause the likely hood of Akatsuki and non akatsuki encounters. If you wish your character to take part in such, please contact myself or leave a reply to this post, preferably with contact info since my avail is limited with the broken laptop)
ANBU and SEBU (those on recon missions this includes ANBU!Sasuke for sure) - Units will begin reporting back Wednesday about a previously unknown Akatsuki base, it's destruction, and signs that there was a battle with the 5tail. That information will not be public unless someone makes it public. Please contact me if you think your character would know about that once the reports are made. I will make every effort before then to inform those who will know that info for sure.
Other Shinobi - With the earthquake and destruction in Iwa and it NOT having a shinobi village, there will be many more missions. many of these will be of a humanitarian issue. Expect to see a mission listing from someone today.

| We want to have this finished up by the 20thOn the 15th, the exams begin as normal. The see a bracket of the fight, please see here. In the morning:Kono Daiki of Mist from and Uzumaki Naruto (originally from sound) are the first fight. After Naruto wins. The next fight is between Ageda Isamu of Mist and Uzumaki Naruto (from this world). After Naruto wins that fight. Uade Yui of Mist and Nakayama Saburou of Cloud which is won by Uada Yui of Mist who progresses to the semi finals where she will face up against Naruto from this world. Then Uchiha Sasuke from this world fights Kaneko Naoki of Cloud. He wins this fight advancing to the semi finals. Then Takeuchi Kiko from Cloud battles against Uzumaki Naruto who had won his extra battle earlier in the day. Naruto wins this fight as well, advancing to the semi finals to face off against Sasuke. In the afternoon:The Semi finals are scheduled to begin at 1:00 PM. The fight between Uzumaki Naruto and Uada Yui begins at 1:15. This is interupted at 1:27 when everything goes very chaotic. Please see this post who who is where. If your character is not on the list but needs to be contact me. It is up to the participants in a section to decide if they are using threads, logs, or just an OOC hashing out to explain what happens. | Well we have all made it through the first half of the Exams.
Rebuilding is going underway and several people have assignments. The Two active threads for the festival will remain open for a while longer for wrap up.
I need volunteers for cleaning up the chat logs so we can get those posted. Please reply to this with an email address and I will send out chunks of the log.
Konoha was hit hard, but the worst of damage has been avoided.
Please expect posts in another two weeks about the second half of the exams.
If your character needs something to do, Aim me at mabu izumo, and I will come up with something. Plot - it is what I do :)

| Areas that have sustained damage:
Forest of Death - about 1/6th of the area has been destroyed
Hospital - Heavy damage to the top west side of the building
ANBU HQ - Medium damage to the east side. A few rooms are unusable, but nothing horrible
Surrounding area - Several Apartment buildings near the center of the village have been heaivly destroyed. These inclyde the Hokage residence, IC!Ibiki's place, and the apartment OOC!Rin, OOC!Kakashi, and Oto!Naruto were sharing.
Businesses - The area around Ichiraku has been seriously hurt. ichiraku is clused for a month at least as is the Yamanaka flower shop (main store)
The rest of the village has taken some damage. Please assume any and all characters working for Konoha are busy. There are things to be cleaned up and rebuilt as well as guard duty. Medics will be working 12 or 16 hour shifts for the next week at least to catch up on the injured.

whether these are logs, posts, or threads is up to the people invovled. Forest of Death IC!Itachi will be attempting to obtain one of the Naruto. At the minimum this will effect IC!Sasuke, Oto!Naruto, IC!Naruto and IC!Itachi. The attempt will fail, however large portions of the forest will receive damage and some NPCs will die. In the end, Itachi will need to withdraw when the rain stops falling. Players please post a summary of what happens. Ichiraku IC!Hidan will find the 2 Mist reps he was sent to kill near Ichiraku. End result will cause serious damage to the Ramen stand and other businesses including Yamaka flowers. Feel free to include anyone else. Hidan will need to retreat when or before the rain stops. Uchiha district OOC!Tobi will fail to find Hitsuki and OOC!Naruto in the Uchiha district. Feel free to post a report or include anyone else. Retreat will happen when the rain stops ANBU Building NPC!Zetsu and IC Kakashi have an encounter at ANBU. Zetsu will escape with some scrolls and significant damage will be done to the ANBU building. IC!Kakashi feel free to post a summary of this event and/or include additional PC -- NPC deal is authorized Hospital Deidara and OOC!Ibiki have an encounter at the hospital. Ibiki will have much backup. Portions of the hospital are damage. NPCs die. The surrounding buildings are damaged including Rin's apartment building AND IC!Ibiki's apartment building. Rin's will be seriously damaged as in unfit for residency. The dogs will be OK though. Hokage's residnce Kakuzu destroys the building looking for something, unknown if he finds it, in the process Sokouya is seriously injured and OOC!Jiraiya ends up in a huge fight with Kakuzu. Sokouya ends up in a coma in the hospital | |

| This is your general mod post of important information
Activity check - everyone got an extra week. I obviously did not get it posted monday, but it WILL be posted this monday, and It will have a lot of info on it. Please watch for that. In addition to new characters, there are also two characters who have died as a result of the latest Akatsuki plot. Please keep your eyes open for more info.
Chuunin Exam - The first test will be on MAY 15th. This means that the Final exam will hapen on JUNE 15th. The only confirmed team is IC!Naruto, Oto!Naruto and IC!Sasuke, with OOC!Itachi as captain of the two Naruto and OOC!Izumo as captain of Sasuke. Security is up for this exam and fell free to have your character's busy because of it.
Festival - The chuunin exam is a showcase of Konoha. This is a time hen Konoha makes itself seem more impressive so there will be MULTIPLE festivals. The town will be prettied up and decorated and everything. There will be the first major festival marking the competion of the second stage on the night of the 18th of May. There will be weekend and other random festivals until the BIG party for the finals. Come the finals the village will be loaded with visitors. | |

| A note about your mods.
We want to make something very clear. We are players here too. We want to enjoy the game, and the decisions we make are for the sake of everyone being able to enjoy the game. We are not paid for this, and we both have other things in our lives. We do not randomly make decisions. If your character application or plot application is turned down, it was not without a lot of thought being put in.
If you have any questions about a decision made, we are reasonable in answering, but we are not here to be yelled at or badgered. We are people, with feelings, and we will not tolerate being insulted or harassed. This is a game. It is to be enjoyed. If the game gives you that much stress, you should quit and concentrate on what is important in life. If you continue to badger and harass the mod staff, you will be banned from the game. We don't want to, but we have to.

| ^_^ It is a time of chaaange, and there are things I've been wanting to do or change so what better time than now?
I have been wanting to run events in the comm for a while now, but I have come to the decision that it is simply out of my scope to create the idea details. I fail. So, I turn to all of you. What types/ideas of events would you like? Crack is okay..depending on how it's presented. (Piper--no zombies unless you can create a real good story for it! XD) Actually, I love crack~ So feel free to throw anything you think of out on the table. I will love you long time for helping!
One event that is already in the works is a festival on Oct 10th, in celebration of Naruto's birthday the "death" of the Kyuubi. Ideas for things to do in relation to that day are also welcome, of course!
And if someone shines with ideas, don't be surprised if Alex or I talk to you about co-modding.
Also, Alex is taking reigns on Akatsuki focus to increase their role and activity in the comm. Hence why I picked up a member so we have more. | I realize that different communities use different systems; as do different countries. For the sake of this community, we'll keep it as simple as possible:
USE THESE RATINGS! (You may use the other ratings (MPAA/Fiction) if preferred)
For Everyone (ages 13 and under can read this without issue)
Teens (ages 13-16 can read this without issue)
Older Teens (ages 16-19 can read this without issue)
Adults (ages 18+ can read this without issue)
Explicit (ages 18+, graphic content such as sex, violence/gore, etc.)
The difference between Adults (R) and Explicit (NC-17) is that Adults (R) might deal with serious situations, but not necessarily explicit descriptions of said situations. You might consider drug abuse, alcoholism, murder, rape, etc. as Adult (R), but unless they're described in vivid detail, they're not Explicit (NC-17).
For those who want equivalents:
Everyone - Ratings G (MPAA), K (FictionRatings)
Teens - Ratings PG (MPAA), K+, T (FictionRatings)
Older Teens - Ratings PG13 (MPAA) T, M (FictionRatings)
Adults - Ratings R (MPAA), M (FictionRatings)
Explicit - Ratings NC-17 (MPAA), X (old style MPAA), MA (FictionRatings)
Note: We still like it if you provide warnings as to why a log might have a certain rating. But warnings CANNOT and SHOULD NOT replace ratings; logs that just say HENTAI! or YURI/YAOI! or SMEX! won't work. Rate them properly! :) If you DO post any Explicit-rated works, please FRIENDS-LOCK them! LiveJournal will shut us down if you don't. | I have made a slight change to the format of logs for the future. (If you get bored, feel free to add this feature to appropriate backdated logs) The change is the addition of an optional Notes section. Primarily I would like this to be used in conjuncture of referencing a previously posted log that has direct relevence. Say, it's the morning after rp of a previous log or it's Part 2 of X. The Profile for orochi_logs has been fixed to reflect this change: The standard format for log information is the following: Characters: Characters involved Rating: Rating of the content Summary: Summary of the log Notes: (Optional) Use when a log is a continuation or directly related to another log, linking to said log with it's subject. Example of UsePut the log behind a lj-cut and please tag the characters involved. | |

| Activity Checks
I will start doing these weekly. (Although I'm looking into taking on a third mod, who may end up picking this job up.)
How these will work. First, I check every journal and look back at three weeks. If no posts have been made in three weeks, I take down the name. The next step I take the list of inactive journals and check the log history. This also goes back about three weeks. If I find lacking in both, the character will be placed on the warning list and have a week to post a journal entry with some relevence (and not just a meme..) or a relatively current log that has not been posted in the past. I will also give a sub-warning to those who are nearing the warning list and will be on the next list if they do not post something in the next week.
Now you may ask, how will action threads affect this? Theoretically, they do not until the 'action log' is closed. However, if your character is actively participating in an action thread at the time of the warning post, reply with the character and a link to the action thread. They will be required to have posted to the action thread within the last two days. And by actively, I mean more than a reply or two amongst many.
On Hiatus-
If you will be away for a period of time, let the mods know and make a post. (We're human and I have the memory of a rock.) This will hold your character from activity checks until your stated time of return. When you take a hiatus, we will expect you to not be able to play any of your characters.
However, this will not work if you simply wish to put a character "On Hold" because you don't feel like playing it at the moment. If you don't feel like playing a character, there is no harm in releasing that character. If in the future you feel like playing the character again, simply reapply and if the character has not been picked up yet, it's an almost guarantee that you can reclaim it.
Dropping a Character
If you decide to drop a character at any time, PLEASE post with the character on the most recent warning post stating the character's name and type (ooc/ic/oc) and that you no longer wish to keep that character. | |

I suggest the leader keep in contact with each team member's player and decide how they wish to be done. I would like the event to remain as active as possible.
