Today was a much more chilled out day for me, particularly as I didnt get there till about 10.30am and left around 2.00-ish. All I had today was to pick up my photos from yesterday, get one done with Christopher Lloyd today and get Pete Postlethwaite's autograph for elulla...oh and I wanted to go to Jason Mewes' talk. I got it all done apart from Pete's autograph as I had to leave before he got anywhere near my number :( Sorry hon.
So basically, I hung around, browsed the stalls again, bought a box of Supernatural Connections trading cards (got Megalyn whatserface's autograph redemption card (Cassie) and Nicki Aycox's pieceworks card) and hung around some more. Christopher Lloyd was as lovely as I'd hoped and I got another huggy pic. I'm getting good at getting those. I know the man is 70 (someone told me he was 80 but I just checked) but he's looking fantastic. My pics with David Anders and John Hurt from yesterday came out really well too (see below).
Jason's talk was a-mewes-ing (ha ha aren't I funny?). He swore a lot, which should have been expected, and yet some people brought young children into the talk. If you know anything at all about Jason, you should know that what he has to say is not for the ears of young 'uns. He talked about how his ideal role would be some psychopath that rapes 10 year old boys and someone asked about his latest film where he plays a pornstar or something and he talked about trying to make his own porn with his girlfriend. He was also pretty open about his past drug problems, said he'd been on heroin and crack (and coke I think as well). It was a really good talk, much better than David's yesterday, and it seemed to go really fast, while David's seemed to drag on.
ETA: I just remembered something else Jason said...cant remember what it was in relation to...but he said something about wanting to fuck some guy in his ass (just before he spotted kids in the audience and went "ooh bad words" lol)...anyway, he said that and my little slashy brain went *gah*...ooh I need to read some Jason Mewes slash right now!!!!
So, here are my photoshoot pics

( and some pics of Jason from his talk )

Different kind of Knight - Kane |

Title: Snapshots Word Count: 7,405 Pairing: Jensen/Jared and Chris/Steve, mainly; Sophia/Sandy, mentions of Sophia/Alexis, Sophia/Alona and Jensen/Tom. Full cast list with photos Warnings: AU, Angst, Hurt/Comfort. Quite a dark fic - mentions abuse, rape, violence, self-harm, all happened in the past but that affect the present. I promise everything will be treated with the maximum tact and respect. I in no way support rape or abuse, or show it in any sort of positive light. This is merely the journey of a broken soul towards health and regeneration, showing how those terrible events affect a life and how you can deal with it. Rating: from PG-13 to NC-17 Beta: the awesome and talented thehighwaywoman! Thank you so much baby! ♥ Disclaimer: I own nothing, and this is all the product of my overactive (and slightly twisted) imagination! Please don’t sue! Summary: “Lie awake in bed at night, and think about your life, do you want to be different? It's time to forget about the past, to wash away what happened last” - 30 Seconds to Mars, A beautiful lie

How is everyone doing today? I'm doing all right. I still haven't been able to see The Dark Knight, but I think my mom and I are going to see Mamma Mia sometime today. I didn't really have any sleep because I had a couple of bugs keeping me up all night, so I'm going to try to go back to sleep now. Hope you guys have a great day! Here's another Kenny Chesney picspam. Enjoy! ( Kenny Chesney picspam )

because I get random thoughts in my head and go 'hey, that's a good idea, do that' and then realise it clashes with everything else and the idea will not amount to anything anyway.
I always have the little niggling thought in the back of my mind of 'go back to uni!' I went to college back in 05/06 and got my diploma, and have been working ever since then. Even though I have learnt so much of what is taught in film/photography courses just by working, working and talking to industry professionals, and also doing short courses, I always feel like I should go back to uni. But I always stop when I remember essays.
I HATE essays. haha.
Plus, I think that uni will take away from my work opportunities.
But if I went back to uni, I could get more knowledge, maybe more connections, and more work...and a student card! YAY FOR CHEAPNESS.
Argh. What should I do? Any advice? I know the uni I would go to. I have friends who have been through both the film and photography courses. So I know it's a good place to study. But do I really want to do it for 3 years?
*goes back to watching French movies*

I don't suppose any of my Los Angeles area friends would be willing to let me crash at their place for one night, would they? Thursday the 31st. Turns out my usual place to stay in SoCal - my uncle's house in Orange - is already 'booked.' My aunt initially said I could stay with them anyway, but they changed their mind... decided it would be uncomfortable for their other guests. Which is understandable. But I already purchased my theater ticket to see Long Way Down in Century City.
I'll only lose $11 on the ticket if I can't make it after all (and I'll save about $100 in gas money), but I was going to that theater so I could meet Jimmy Simak - the gorgeous guy in my icon. He's one of the directors of photography on Long Way Down as well as the music supervisor, and we've gotten to be friends online over the past couple of years (since I first saw him and his work in Long Way Round, actually), and now I finally have a chance to meet him in person. I wrote and asked him about me coming to the screening he'll be at, and got the most awesome, encouraging and sweet email back from him. Awwwwww.
I'm looking at hotels down there, but I'm just not sure I can justify the cost. I don't know. Anyway, I figured it couldn't hurt to ask my f-list for ideas, or see if anyone in the area has a spare bit of floor I can sleep on.

I saw two fantastic movies this weekend.
Last night, I saw The Dark Knight and it lived up to all the hype and even surpassed it. Heath Ledger was every bit as amazing as all the reviews have said. By far the best part of a movie full of all kinds of awesome. Christian Bale was great, Michael Caine was superb, Gary Oldman rocked the screen and Morgan Freeman was incredible, as always. For me, the two weakest links were Aaron Eckhart, and I still thought he did a great job, and Maggie Gyllenhaal, but only because the character of Rachel Dawes was poorly written. She did the best with what she was given. I highly recommend it and I can't wait to go see it again.
For a complete and utter change of pace, I went and saw Mamma Mia! this afternoon and I absolutely ADORED it! Oh my god, it's a fun movie! It's by no mean a great movie, and it's utterly cheesy and campy, but it's so much fun and so very entertaining. I also happen to love ABBA, so I had a hard time sitting still because I wanted to get up and dance. Meryl Streep never ceases to amaze me, and you can tell that she had a lot of fun with the movie. Christine Baranski and Julie Walters totally stole the show - they were hysterical! If you're in the mood for a fun time, GO SEE THIS MOVIE!
Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a date with my ABBA CD.
"Gimme Gimme Gimme a man after midnight...."
