My dad is in the hospital. Again. This makes either 7 or 8 times in the past year. Sadly, I've lost count. The doctors always say "pneumonia" but I'm starting to think it's something else and his doctors are just incompetent. I've always hated the hospital he's in, the town is like fucking Mayberry and I could get a better diagnosis from the vet! I told him he might ought to think about going to a real doctor in Lexington where someone just *might* be able to figure out what the problem is. But that's just me. *sigh*
And Reba's birthday is tomorrow, so roommie and I made her a wooden jewelry box and I made her 3 bracelets to go with it. Too bad she's gotta spend her birthday in the hospital. I've done it and it sucks.
BTW, the finals of the Pet Idol are this week and I'll be bugging you guys Friday to vote for my baby. ;)

Baba was sooooo very happy to see Mom and I walk into her room yesterday that she didn't stop talking for the rest of the day. She was very difficult to understand and so very small and frail looking in that mass of pillows, but as the afternoon progressed, she started looking more and more like the Baba I remember.
"Marge," she said, "do you know how precious you are?" Honestly? What does one say to observations like that?
I went to bed feeling very encouraged and oh-so happy that I came!
This morning I woke up to Baba sitting in her chair and wanting something to eat. Her speech is soooo much clearer, which is understandable after the workout she put it through yesterday. An awesome start to the day, if you ask me!!

Okay, so things and stuff. In no particular order.

Einstein was the rightest man ever. He said everything is realtive and it damn well is. See, Israel just got its first medal in the Olympics today and it's bronze. And we're damn happy. Because it's a medal. Other countries? Probably wouldn't really count it because it isn't gold.
I mean, look at the medal chart - it isn't organized by the sum number of medals, is it?
And with that said, congratulations to Shachar Tzubari who was awesome and won the bronze in sailing. You rocked it, baby. And you're a cutiepie all around, so we'll keep on cheering for you. Hope you do even better in London come 2012!

I have been catching up on Grey's Anatomy and all its seasons past thanks to the miracle of MP4 players that you can take with you on the bus and to the doctor.
The sum of it is that Bailey? Coolest character ever.
Also, Christina stole one of "my" sayings - I always say I dislike being a teenager even when I was one, and there she goes saying the same. I'm gonna have to insist I was the first in this case, what with Christina being fictional and all.

On the upside, Ian Thorpe/Pieter van den Hoogenband fic #1 has already been completed (beta? Anyone?) and I've already started on fic #2.

Mom's been here for a visit for a few days now. It started out bad, but it's getting better. I showed her fic #2 this morning. I changed Pieter and Ian's names (too obvious) to Aaron and Ryan (not hard to figure out why if you're into the Olympics' swimming, I guess) and I showed her the fic. Well, what I have written so far which is still not that blatantly slashy.
She said it reminds her of reading John Updike and Philip Roth. That it's a study of human relations of people both analyzable and capable of analyzing. Apparently, she really loved the opening sentence and if she were to encounter this elsewhere, she would definitely want to read it through.

Well...I chose casperbleu because I use it for almost everything. I made it up originally for an e-mail account. Casper is my cat's name and he's a bluish grey. The American way to spell "blue" was already taken so I used the French "bleu" instead.

Hello friends. Alas, I have no computer anymores except my sidekick which is not very good for posting fan fiction with :( This makes me very very sad. Because I have been wanting to work on everything from the new Jimmy/Taylor/Bob one to even Delicate. But what can I do when my computer craps out? (WITH ALL MY WORK ON IT WE MIGHT ADD)
