Here, original stories of any length or genre may be posted, although all we ask is that the LJ cut is used. Also, original character ideas may be posted to receive help developing, writing, or discovering them.
The objective of this community is not simply for writers to receive comments, but to help improve members' writing skills with input from other writers.
We also accept poetry, and, to a limited extent, artwork (ie: drawings of characters from stories that have been posted), but our main focus is original fiction.

original_fic aims to help those writing original fic receive feedback and CONSTRUCTIVE criticism from others who are working on original fic.
Flames are unacceptable. If you have nothing nice to say about someone's hard work, you are NOT obligated to comment.
However, if you do not provide constructive criticism on anyone's work ever, don't expect to receive constructive criticism on your work(s) either.
Rule One: When posting a story onoriginal_fic, please put the story title as the subject of the post. This makes archiving the entries a lot easier.
Rule Two: To promote the works of others, I ask all new members who join to go to the memories and read one story by each author and comment on it. This will help the authors gain input of new members and [hopefully] help new members become a part of our community.
Rule Three: When posting a story, putting a rating (ie: PG, NC-17) is required for stories with a rating of R or higher. It is optional for anything under 'R'. An 'R' story would be a story with extremely violent themes, nudity, sex, rape, extreme cases of foul language...to name a few. An NC-17 would probably be something like a story that revolves solely around sex and is very, very, very explicit. As long as a rating is put on, you will not be held accountable if someone reads it and is 'grossed out' or somehow offended.
