I feel super super guilty that I haven't had a chance to post anything here for awhile. I know that many of you know this already but I'm in India (!!!!) for about another week. I don't have consistant access to the internet here but I'm still playing in Photoshop in my spare time. I have a few for you today from various contests. Three Christian Bale icons (the last won third place at cbale_stillness), one fashion icon and a sexy icon that won Mod's Choice at whisper_of_pink. Enjoy them and I'll be back sooner or later with a few more tidbits. As for the ever-elusive Miss Lindsey, she's out at a fire doing some super important fire fighting type stuff* and all of that. I'm off to eat more fantastic food! Who knew there were so many variaties of bananas and mangoes out there! :P

Many of you don't know this but I'm studying abroad for a month in Germany from June 26-August 7. I'm also going to spend a week with my family in Montana (and see my new nephew!!) and then a week in India with a good friend. I'm really looking forward to it but things have been crazy around here!! That's my excuse for the lack of iconage lately. Lindsey has no excuse however and should be punished....I suggest we take away her porn. Enough of my rambling, I have a few India themed icons for you all today. Bollywood, stock and a couple featuring Indian brides in oh so gorgeous clothes.

First of a big HELL YES for being pimped at the fabulous hip_squares! I've been alternately loving and hating that set for awhile now so it's good to know that it someone liked it enough to pimp it.

I've been holding onto these for a little while because I was planning to make more but inspiration hasn't struck again so I wanted to put them out there for you all. The images are a Keira Knightley spread in Vogue recreating The Wizard of Oz. I don't know any other specifics but I'm sure you can find more information on it in foto_decadent or Vogue's website. I hope you all enjoy them. I played around with color and cropping a lot here.

Holy crap there's a lot of you!! Welcome to our little corner of LJ! I have a few icons to share that were made for various contests. I promise more interesting things to come....like more location icons. But don't tell anyone I said that.

These three were made for various contests at iconartistic. The first two are made from the art of David Mauldin and the third is from the Tarot of Love deck. #2 won second place.

EDIT: I also wanted to mention that you may notice me not responding to your comments for awhile. This doesn't mean that I don't LOVE them, it's just that things are a little crazy around here. You all should know that I'm frankly shocked and extremely grateful when anyone tells me they like my work. I will however, still read them and answer questions. Hopefully this won't last TOO long. I hate when my lazy time gets cut into...okay enough rambling for tonight.

Hi guys! Sorry it's been kind of quiet around here lately. Lindsey is busy and I'm haven't had much inspiration lately. I'm currently working on several things for you all so don't worry I'm not completely uninspired. In the meantime I have some random fashion-type icons for you. The first few were all entered at coutureicontest. The rest are images from laceandflora. I was playing around with colorizing effects and then cropped them into icons. They're pretty simple but I like how they turned out. Anyway, enjoy them! ♥

#3 won first place at coutureicontest.

I don't make many complete sets but last night I had this weird graphic explosion. I was cleaning out my image file and wanted to put a bunch of those pretty pictures to use. I now give you the aftermath such as it is. Featuring; Vivian Leigh, Missy Elliott, Julianne Moore, Madonna and a few random models. A couple are sets others are random. I didn't go for a consistant size with the headers and banners so they can be used for a wide variety of layouts. Feel free to resize if they are too big or I'd be happy to do it for you. Just let me know what width you need. I hope you enjoy them.

I feel so bad about us neglecting you all. I'm really not that busy right now but I've lost a little of the creative spark. I'm currently working on a few sets that I think will be really cool! I know some of you may be getting tired of the Firefly, Will and Grace and fashion icons. I am a little...well not the Firefly ones. ;) Anyway, I have four Firefly, two fashion, two Angelina Jolie and one made from the art of Mark Rothko. You know the drill. Enjoy them!

This small set began with petticoatrow's amazing Summer of 69 base set and then grew from there as I found many shiny vintage fashion pictures all over the internets. As always take and enjoy them if you'd like.

I found these great images of model/burlesque performer Dita Von Teese and decided to make some icons. She looks so much like an old-fashioned pinup that I thought it would be fun to make them look a bit retro. I just love how in the last one she looks just like Bettie Page! I just heard that free users now get 6 userpics! So yay, and hopefully these will help fill up your space. Enjoy them. :)

I have this *ahem* obsession with India. I think anyone can see that if they just take a stroll over to my personal journal. One of things that especially draws me to the culture are the traditional clothes. Gorgeous sarees, silks, beading, lavish embrodiery and bright colors. Even their wedding dresses are colorful. So much more fun then boring old white! Today's icon set is made from images of Indian bridal gown and one non bridal gown[#8]. All images are courtesy of chowringheelane, an awesome community! I attempted to post this last night but my computer decided that it didn't want to cooperate so let's try this again. I took a little break from the cityscape icons to do a fashion set. Some of these are a little wacky but I like how they turned out. I'm sure you've seen this iconed to death but I've had them saved on my computer for awhile and thought I'd land the final blow. I'm still not taking requests until my schedule lightens up but feel free to make suggestions for further projects in the suggestion box. If I need inspiration, I'll head over there for ideas!

I thought I'd try my hand at iconing fashion photography but I wanted to do it a little differently. I love all the complicated, decadent fashion icons people are coming up with but I wanted to try making mine as simple as possible. Let me know what you all think!
