Oregon Gay Straight Alliance

Everyone in the state of Oregon interested in, or apart of GSA are welcome. All around the state students have assembled clubs at their schools in support of building our communities, parents have gotten involved for the better, and all in all, they are doing one thing;

Promoting Tolerance and Acceptance

This is a community for everyone who believes that hatred, homophobia, and bigotry are wrong, and do something about it. Here we take action and here we form unity in the community. This is a friendly community so make sure that any entries posted reflect that.

Things you can post:
+ GSA meeting schedules This helps new GSAs to get an idea about what to do for their own meetings.
+ Essays, poems, etc This also helps for GSA meetings because they can be shared, and they surely will be, and perhaps start a good conversation.
+ Info on other groups similar to GSA Events for things such as PFLAG or SMYRC may interest some of the readers.
+ Questions/Help This can only help everybody.
+ Pictures of other GSA groups We would all like to know who we are talking to- no pictures unsuitable for a kid friendly community.
+ Etc. Use logic as to what is appropriate here.

In the end, this is a community to help people get an idea of what GSA really is and general help for other GSA groups. If a person is having difficulty planning meetings or they want to start a GSA this is the place to go for support and help. Not only that, but it is fun to meet new people who support the cause!

So spread the word to those that you know who would be interested and watch the community grow! Tell entire GSA clubs, tell people from PFLAG or other such organizations.
