Orbital 2008 Room Booking Update

We have some good news to report regarding rooms at the Radisson hotel. The hotel has granted us a small increase in the number of double/twin rooms available to us for the duration of the convention.

I have contacted everyone who has joined the convention since our previous allocation of rooms were fully booked to see if they would like to share one of the newly available rooms - those who have joined in the last few days will be hearing from me today. The remaining rooms will then be made available to new members signing up for the convention on a first come basis.

So if you are planning to come along to Orbital and would prefer to be in the main hotel, sign up today! The website room booking will remain closed to help us control assignment of these rooms (but you can still sign up for membership and volunteer online), so you will need to email me at the membership email address (membership@orbital2008.org) to register your request for a room share after you have signed up for membership. You must include the name of your sharer (who must also be a member) or agree to us finding a sharer for you if you want to take advantage of these last few remaining rooms.

There are still some good value family rooms available at the Marriot, which is a short walk from the main hotel and we recently announced our overflow hotel (the Renaissance), which has single rooms available for a reasonable rate and is also only a short walk away from the main hotel so nobody will miss out on the fun when the main hotel has filled up :) See our website for full details of what's available in the overflow hotels.
