Footie fan since: Probably, ever since I knew what football is, but naturally I got into it - into it - WC 2002.
When and why did you became an Orange fan? I've always had a soft spot for the boys in Oranje, but have been fairly open about the NTs I cheer on because of my nature being of mixed-blood. But being part Dutch, I suppose I have to kind of start leaning more on those closer to home - starting this Euro 2008. :)
Favourite Orange Player (doesn't have to be a present player): Robin Van Persie, & Klaas Jan Huntelaar. I do like Johann Cruijff.
Does Holland have a shot at winning the next European Cup? Definitely. They just have to know how to finish their wonderful start, as always.

Footie fan since: ever? I wouldn't be able to precise the moment, but I do remember going to the stadium when I was about 5 or 6.
When and why did you became an Orange fan? In 1994's World Cup, when I saw Dennis Bergkamp playing for the first time. I just knew I had to be a fan of whatever country he came from and that happened to be Netherlands. Since then I learned to love the whole squad and the mentality of their game.
Favourite Orange Player (doesn't have to be a present player): I guess I answered this one already. My favorite still is Bergkamp, 'though I do like Robben, Van Persie and Kuyt a lot.
Does Holland have a shot at winning the next European Cup? Of course. They just have to leave this underachievers stigma behind. It's the only thing standing in their way.

Footie fan since: Well, I started playing when I was five, so...1993? My brother played all through high school and my dad coached. We used to go to MLS games all the time (OF COURSE they're not nearly as good as anything in Europe, but it was something.)
When and why did you became an Orange fan? While watching Euro 2000 at age 13, I announced they would be "my team forever" because my school's colors were orange and black. I have since come to appreciate the them for other reasons.
Favourite Orange Player(doesn't have to be a present player): Van Der Sar, Van Persie, Van Nistelrooy, Sneijder
Does Holland have a shot at winning the next European Cup? Yes. They gave a great performance this year...though I have to say the team won't quite be the same without Edwin.

My first thought on our opening goal was that Sneijder's shot had gone straight in and not touched van Nistelrooij. Presumably the ref thought so as well :)
But even if we were lucky with that one, the second and third were absolute beauties. All round, the Oranje produced a stunning display of Total Football and I'm truly confident that we can get at least a draw from each of the 2 remaining games. Whatever happens in the other matches in the group, that would be enough to put us through.

AAAARRGHHH, we're in the Group of Death! Still, I'm remaining optimistic that we can do it...

Mon 9 Jun - Italy - Bern
Fri 13 Jun - France - Bern
Tue 17 Jun - Romania - Bern
If we win the group :
Sat 21 Jun - quarter-final v runner-up D - Basel
Thu 26 Jun - semi-final - Vienna
Sun 29 Jun - final - Vienna
If we come 2nd in the group :
Sun 22 Jun - quarter-final v winner D - Vienna
Semi and final as above (yes, if we reach the semi-final we'll certainly face a team from group C or D. Group D is Greece, Sweden, Spain and Russia.)
All our matches kick off at 20:45 CEDT.

Foppe de Haan has managed to pull it off twice: Young Oranje are back to back European Champions U-21!
What makes this win extra special is the fact that no host nation has managed to win the trophy at home before AND Young Oranje's starting 11 was completely different from last year's winning side!
