The new OS X version is coming along nicely. I am glad to see that you are not taking your sweet time.

First, thanks for introducing me to Girder & NetRemote, its really cool & different software. Unfortunately, i see these products as being very limited - how much home automation is really needed or possible? instead of pressing a button on my all in 1 remote thats already programmed - i do it on my PDA? Maybe i'm missing something here, but scheduling lights or turning stuff on and off isn't enough for me to buy the product. The security is great if you have the money to buy all the cameras and what not, but thats about it.

That said, the optimus mini 3 is a pretty cool utility for this if you did want a button for doing multiple things at once - like turning on the tv, surround sound, whatever else. i like the idea behind it, but in order to do all this, its a hefty investment. girder + mini3 + time benefits do not outweigh me having to press separate buttons to do these things as i do them today.

Again, i like the idea, i'm just not sure how useful it would end up being. If i could put a bluetooth sensor in my driveway that would trip a switch when i pulled into the driveway to start turning things on... well that might make it worth it. what do you people think? what would you use this for?

Things are looking great on the mac front. A few suggestions:

- make the system monitor plugin 2 state so that when you click you can switch between ram and cpu
- the system monitor only shows one bar even though I have a dual core machine (Mac Mini)
- allow the mail plugin to get its unread count from a particular (or all) mailboxes/folders. I file all my mail with rules and so most of the time the OM3 doesn't show unread mail when there actually is.
