Yes, I Agree. This is fucking awesome (the greatest breakthrough since the QWERTY keyboard itself), but the price point is (currently) unaffordable at $10k each. Get Real! No one can afford that, not even the US government (Cheap asses). OLED's are pricy (at the moment), but in the next several years we should begin to see a significant price reduction. Hopefully we should see this product come down to the $500 range in the next five(?) years. I can't wait that long :-)

No, I am not humor impaired. And I get exactly what you mean by your post. However, it is a well known fact that one should only tell a joke once, and this is your second "joke" post about the price already.

What worries me is not the many cutbacks from the "original" Optimus, or the fact that you make jokes about the price of the unit amidst all the speculation, but that the subject of your frequent "jokes" seem to be the - understandably - disappointed people who wanted nothing but the product that was presented to them more than TWO YEARS ago along with a release date (14.7.2005) that you simply let pass by without explanation. I realize that you are a design studio and not a keyboard manufacturer, but I hope you are businessmen as well so you will understand: THESE ARE YOUR CUSTOMERS.

More than two years ago you announced the Optimus keyboard, along with a release date that is now more than one year old. There was never an explanation to all the people that had been waiting as to why the product didn't surface. That's not good at all, but could be worse. A while ago you submitted a photo of a Optimus-103 button in this blog which looked quite a bit less than what was shown in the renders and raised many questions as to whether the product will feature colored keys or not. You didn't answer any of those questions for two weeks. When you at last let the cat out of the bag (along with some additional "natural" cutbacks like removing 15 buttons), you seemed to be surprised in the face of all the disappointment you recieved. To top it off, you started ridiculing the expectations of the people who were "dumb enough" to believe the announcement that has been on your website for years. And that, quite frankly, is insulting to your very potential customer base.

My advice for you, should you take it, is: Do not post any more "jokes" about the project. The time for facts has definitely come. Keep your renders, your opinions and your sarcasm. Give us photos, product specifications and hard facts instead of spoon-feeding us chunks of what you are possibly making, and I can guarantee that you will not recieve any more criticism. For in case you haven't noticed, most people were not criticising your product, but the way you are toying with the expectations of your future customers.
