While throwing potential fates of remaining HP characters with badass coworker #1, we decided that there was a hella lot of ambiguity concerning the outcomes of 90% of the cast.

Therefore, in an attempt to obtain some sense of closure, we have decided that the only appropriate option is to resort to mad fanfiction (ex. think ficlets, they don't have to be mammoth) that will answer the unanswerable.

In other words, we are lonely, emotionally stunted little things and this is our only way of coping that won't involve copious amounts of alcohol.

Essentially, what we were hoping to do was get a bunch of people together who are a) literate and can present at least B quality writing, b) fans of the series and c) want to see things tied up, real nice like.

As an added twist, we were thinking we'd put every (majorish) character's names in a hat, then draw and assign them to anyone involved. Also, if people wanted, we could include the names of certain deceased characters, allowing the chosen author to write instead about another character's response to their death.

OBVIOUSLY, lj-cuts will be mandatory + there will be massive spoiler warnings every which way.

I guarantee; it will be more satisfying than even the most productive de-gnoming.
