This is a discussion, support and meta community for lgbt* fans of Johnny's Entertainment groups. Straight-identified fans are absolutely welcome as well! If you want a place to connect to other fans and share your experience, or you're looking for some good discussion on the portrayal of homosexuality, gender and identity in JE itself, feel free to join! ‣ This is a community related specifically to discussion of homosexuality, gender and identity as related to the fan experience, and to the structure of the Japanese idol industry. This means that anything not related to such discussion (i.e. posting that a group has released a new single, pimp posts related to your favourite group, icon posts) should be posted in other, more relevant communities. ‣ This is not a RPS/fanfiction community. Discussion relating to the writing of such is completely acceptable and encouraged, however, cross-posting fic is not. |
‣ Remember that this is a place for you - it is completely acceptable and encouraged to post about your experience as a JE fan, as related to homosexuality or gender. But please be respectful of other users and lj-cut these posts. ‣ Likewise, sales posts of any kind are prohibited. Community or journal advertisement posts are also not allowed, unless permission is sought and given first. ‣ Images posted to the the community are allowed a maximum width of 400 px; any images that exceed this limit must be placed behind an LJ-cut. |
‣ While discussion about homosexuality, gender and identity within Johnny's Entertainment itself is part of the purpose of the community, it is not to be geared towards "building a case" for any particular idol/group's sexuality. In other words, any post that consists entirely of "XXX is gay because of so-and-so!" will be deemed inappropriate. ‣ Think carefully before you post! It is all right to post something potentially inflammatory as long as you're aware of what you're doing and will be able to handle the consequences. This community is about discussion and debate, but all members are expected to respect differing opinions - it's fine if you don't agree with something, but please disagree respectfully. |
