so you're finding it difficult to get into ontd_twatlight

well, i can't say i understand. i can't even say i sympathize. we have over 2,000 members here, which means our screening process can't be too rigorous, but lately there have been complaints about "rejections" and our "exclusivity." excuse my beauty. if your account was rejected, it was for one of two reasons:

1. your journal was created very recently. this suggests to us that you have another livejournal that you don't want to join with for whatever reason, so you created one solely to lurk.
2. your account is very old, but has few comments, friends that never update, and is never updated itself. this also suggests that you have another livejournal that you don't want to join with for whatever reason, so you used one solely to lurk.

we do not reject anyone on the basis of what communities they are in, who their friends are, or whether or not they have any twilight-related interests or communities in their profile. it's based solely upon whether or not we think you're joining for real and to contribute, or for ~nefarious purposes.~

if you feel you were unfairly rejected, please message a moderator and say why. alternatively, you could try joining under your real account. :) that tends to work out nicely.

2. we're here for the lolz. post crack!fic and macros, rant about the book and its characters, talk about the cast, post news, start discussions... whatever. the best part about ontd's twilight posts is that they always dissolve into random observations, discussions, and posting of macros, which is what this place is all the time. if you're easily offended and take twilight too seriously i wouldn't recommend sticking around. and save the needless drama for your angsty private posts plz, ty. ♥
3. respect the other members. this should be a given.
4. all posts should be friends locked.
5. new members: don't be afraid to start interacting! you'll feel welcome, we promise. to make things easier, our sparkles are located here, so you can start ~dazzling~ us as soon as you join.
6. if you'd like to sign up for the twi-signal after you join, please do so here. make sure you reply to the confirmation text you'll receive on your phone, and that you have "device" set to "on."
