Star Trek references
How many of you BBs have seen Ace Ventura? That movie has always cracked me up, but it wasn't until recently (aka, after I got into Star Trek once I saw the new movie) that I fully appreciated this scene:

His Kirk impersonation is so spot on, it's ridiculous. Ridiculously hilarious!

What other references have you BBs found in movies/TV shows/etc? DISH PLZ!

In the Heroes pilot, Hiro is like "I have discovered powers beyond any mortal human." and Ando is like, "You and Spock!"
Hiro: Yes, like Spock, exactly!
[Hiro gets dragged back to his desk]
Ando: Use your 'death grip', Spock! 'Death grip!'

I wish I could find a proper scene, but in season 5 of Buffy, when there are ~two~ Xanders - they say "kill us both, Spock" at the same time and it's always made me laugh.

Buffy has a lot of Star Trek references ♥

In The Land of the Lost movie, Will Ferrell discovers something and screams "Captain Kirk's Nipples!" and proceeds to freak out or pass out or something. I saw it with the people I saw Star Trek with the first time and we all died laughing.

Well, recently I was walking by the television when there was a rerun of (a rather silly comedy from 2003) Daddy Daycare, and there was a scene where this random guy had to play a puppet show for children...with Spock and Uhura dolls. He was making them have a break up/argument thing.

...I admit it, I giggled. =_=;

OK STORY TIME

So My cellphone plays this music when I get a call. I was in an Army Navy store today getting boots for my Kirk uniform talking star trek with the store owner and then suddenly right as the guy is like "You're awful into Star Trek aren't you" MY PHONE GOES OFF and he and a few other older guys started laughing at me. And one fourteen yearold boy was like OH MAN LIKE IN THE CABLEGUY!!

My favorite is one from The Boondock Saints. If you don't know the movie, Boondock Saints is a fucking amazing film about two twin Irish brothers who become vigilantes in the name of God. It also has Willem Dafoe as an FBI agent who doesn't know if he wants to catch or join the brothers. Also has an amazing sequence with Dafoe in drag.

Part one (the uploader has the rest of the movie if you're inclined).

The reference is around 7:30 if you want to jump ahead.

God I fucking love the movie. First time I saw it, when the guy said his name was Chekov, I yelled "STAR TREK" before the movie could even get to the reference. I felt like a nerd.

That gif is magnificent.

Oh man, not really that bad. I love this movie, seen it about a billion times and the last time I saw it I was all "Chekov...that name has always seemed so familiar to me...why?"
It was sad when I realized later that I remembered Chekov from Star Trek.

Every time I see this movie I'm reminded of just how much I quote it all the damn time.

"If I'm not back in five minutes...just wait longer."

And yeah, I didn't fully appreciate his impersonations until now. Spot on!
