- Wank Wars. If you can't handle wank, then don't comment. Please keep in mind that any comment you make in the community can potentially make you a target for trolls and stans. You have one of two options: 1) ignore them or 2) throw down.

- This is a news/information/gossip community centered around PEOPLE OF COLOR.
- All posts are moderated.
- Please check the community tag list before you add your tags. If you feel a new tag is necessary, please ask.
- Before making a submission, please double check that it hasn’t been posted already.
- No hotlinking!
- Provide a legitimate source and include a full and direct URL.
- All articles and text have to be in English. Foreign text may be included under a cut.
- You are allowed to post news and info from any POC pop culture icon that you wish. Other people are allowed to post their assenting and/or dissenting opinions in your posts.
- Feel free to post up wank for community discussion.
- Do NOT submit foreign articles to ask for a translation!
- Quality fan translations of foreign articles, lyrics, etc. may be submitted provided you give the translator credit (personally, I don’t care if you have their permission or not).
- If posting magazine scans, credit the scanner. I'm not going to ask if you have their permission or not.
- Posts containing downloadable rips of albums, songs, videos, etc. will not be approved; this is not a filesharing community. YouTube samples/videos are acceptable.
- Keep things current.
- Personal encounters with POC pop culture icons are acceptable. If you can, please provide pics to keep it interesting. Try to keep the fangirlish squeeing to a minimum or you risk opening yourself up to getting made fun of.
- DO NOT link posts to another journal or to an outside site!
- Concert Reviews. Fan written reviews of concerts are acceptable as long as they are well-written and entertaining to read. Pictures are optional but preferred... however, if your ONLY pictures are of you and your friends sitting outside the venue then don't bother.
- Icons, layouts, etc. submissions will not be approved.
- Do not submit fan fiction. DO NOT SUBMIT FAN FICTION! If you do I will approve the post along with my own commentary thrown in. You don’t want that.
- Celeb blog entries are acceptable for now.
- Feel free to write up and submit your own reviews of albums/singles/DVDs/products,etc. provided they are well-written and objective.
- If you are posting videos or audio clips, please keep it current and provide a summary. Translations are not required for video and audio. DO NOT SET THEM ON AUTO PLAY!
- Things that are unnecessary:
- “Please delete if already posted/not allowed”. Don’t worry, I will.
- Intro posts. Don't bother.
- Spam. Excessive violation could get you banned.
- Comm Promotions. Unless with permission from a mod.
- Feel free to add entertaining and intelligent commentary to entries.
About Fan Translations
First of all, if you don’t speak English comfortably enough to maintain a conversation then you have no business translating a foreign article into something that an English-speaking audience can understand. We shouldn’t have to sit here for thirty minutes trying to figure out what the translated article is trying to convey.
Fan translations don't have to be perfect, but they should be readable by a general audience. Readability will be determined by a mod.
DO NOT RUN THE ARTICLES THROUGH AN INTERNET TRANSLATION SITE!
Another thing, I don’t care if you have the translator’s blessing to submit translated articles/lyrics,etc. I won’t ask you if you have their permission. Unless they've obtained rights to the band, the journalist, the photographer, the label, or the magazine, their arguments about their "copyrighted LJ material" are invalid. Post away!
On that note, it is pretty rude to just throw their work around without even giving them a head’s up. Always give them credit.
Translators, on a case by case basis, I may take down your translations if you request.
About Fan Reviews
Concert reviews are great… when they come with pictures (of the band, the venue, the stage, the crowd, etc.). Pictures of the performance are not necessary but they’re always a plus. If all you have are pictures of yourself at the event, leave them out. Nobody is reading the review to see who you are. More importantly, by posting pictures of yourself you are potentially opening yourself up to a lot of harsh, unwanted criticism by other people.
Please write clear, concise, and objective reviews. Most of us are not interested in how cute or hot someone looked standing up on stage or how you want to squeeze so and so’s cheeks or how you could see so and so’s dimples from the back of the venue IF THAT IS ALL YOU HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THE EVENT. Obnoxious, overly-fangirlish live reviews will be rejected.

- Nothing will piss me off more than bringing any of your community business to MY personal journal. The punishment for doing this will depend on my mood and the position of the moon that night.
