Mod: Apologies if this type of posting is not allowed

Dear Fans,

We are currently working on a book chapter on  gay fan perspectives on Doctor Who for a collection on the programme that is to be published in the coming months.

We are very interested in hearing from gay fans of the series about their thoughts about the programme. Very little has been written about gay fans of the series, and we hope to provide an opportunity to correct that omission and finally make known the important contribution to fandom that gay viewers have made. To achieve this, however, we need your help. Only by hearing the views of gay fans can we accomplish this important goal.

Our discussion community can be found at  [info]gaywhostudy

Please use this group to discuss your thoughts on any characters, episodes, or anything else you think is important to discuss about the programme. We really appreciate your help with this, and will, of course, seek your full permission before using any posts you make in our work.

Feel free to join the community, friend the community, watch the community, or otherwise post freely. We look forward to reading about your perspectives!

Sincerely,
Matt and Christy

PS: Gay men, lesbians, bisexuals and pansexuals are all more than welcome! If you wouldnt mind telling us how you identify in the introductions thread or by private message we would be really grateful, just so that we don't attribute your ideas incorrectly!

The day of the Atlanta Gallifreyans meetings will be changing for the next few months, due to circumstances beyond our control. We will still be meeting, however, at the Doraville, GA, civic center. It's very easy to get to from I-285 and Buford Hwy, and is half-a-block from the Doraville MARTA station.

For the next few months, the Doraville Police have scheduled seminars for every Saturday, until at least September. So we are not going to be able to meet on our scheduled third Saturdays of the month, for a while.

After some discussion at the last meeting, we are going with Sundays, instead. Meeting time will probably be early afternoon to end in the early evening. I will let everyone know about the exact starting time asap.

Meeting dates are as follows:

May 17
June 21
July 19
August 16

Hey, folks, if you aren't reading the webcomic The Ten Doctors yet, head over here and check it out:

http://comics.shipsinker.com/2007/03/11/doctor-who-comic-the-ten-doctors-page-1/

Mind you, it's up to 190 pages already, but it shouldn't take you long to catch up. :)

And don't skip the comments, the creator often replies and gives good info.

All Ten Doctors are involved, many companions, several enemies and groups of enemies. :) The plotting is great, and the artwork, whilst in pencil, is still well rendered. You will know by looking who is who. (Pardon the pun, I really didn't mean it!)

If you love multiple Doctor stories, then trust me, you will love this comic strip.

I'm looking for someone that's into the Doctor Who fandom and plays a Meta-Crisis Tenth Doctor. I could do a PSL but it's mostly for a game. Please PM for more details. Thank you.

[info]dwpolls is a new Doctor Who community where everyone is invited to take part in a weekly poll. Each week, I'll post a new poll relating to anything in the Whoniverse and you'll be able to vote and comment/discuss throughout the week. In addition to this, you're also invited to message me with your poll topic ideas and suggestions. Basically, the community is there for more Who discussion on the web and it's also in place to eventually create a large archive of polls and votes :)

The first poll will be posted on Monday 23rd February.

Alright, so my boyfriend & I celebrated our second Christmas together today (yes, I realize it's a few days before Christmas, but we're both clogged up with family obligations from now until then), and.. Bless his beautiful little heart, he didn't buy me a DVD set, an action figure, a book, or a tshirt.

No, he built me a mini TARDIS to store things in.

Mods, I have no idea what to tag this as? I'm sorry.
