The CW certainly wasn’t experiencing a case of the Mondays earlier this week. The network saw its most watched Monday of the season this year with 2.67 million viewers (coming from the overnight ratings, not including the Live+7 DVR ratings, which would only increase the numbers).

The pairing of veteran drama One Tree Hill with cult sensation Gossip Girl also matched the CW’s season best in adults 18-49 (1.3/3) and women 18-49 (1.9/5) for the night, according to Live+Same Day Nielsen ratings for Monday, November 9th. The Sophia Bush directed episode of One Tree Hill climbed to a season high in total viewers (2.67 mil) and women 18-49 (1.9/5). One Tree Hill gained over last week by 13% in the women 18-34 demo, 13% in adults 18-34, 18% in women 18-49, 19% in adults 18-49 and 15% in total viewers.

Coming off of its highest rated Monday of the season, the CW announced today that it will air all-original episodes of three series Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill and new drama Life UneXpected on Monday nights from mid-January through May 2010. That means no repeats! The three series will air on a revolving schedule. The Shiry Appleby-led Life UneXpected will debut on Monday, January 18th at 9pm following the return of original episodes of veteran drama One Tree Hill at 8pm.

On March 8th, Life Unexpected will take One Tree Hill’s timeslot at 8pm and Gossip Girl will return from its winter hiatus at 9pm ET. On April 19th, after Life UneXpected’s initial 13-episode run is complete, the Monday night schedule will return to One Tree Hill at 8pm and Gossip Girl at 9pm for the remainder of the season.

[...]

The Monday midseason rotation will be as follows:

January 18 – March 1 8:00 PM -9:00 PM One Tree Hill
9:00 PM - 10:00 PM Life UneXpected

March 8 – April 12 8:00 PM -9:00 PM Life UneXpected

April 19 – Season Finales 8:00 PM -9:00 PM One Tree Hill

This was the third time I’ve interviewed Lee Norris (Mouth, One Tree Hill) but I can’t say “third time’s a charm” because he’s been charming every time. And this time around, as we caught up on the phone, he was gracious enough to answer questions submitted by YOU!

TeenDramaWhore: Today I thought I would do things a little bit differently. I asked my readers, your fans, to send in questions. So this is coming directly from them.

Lee Norris: Alright, very cool.

We're thrilled that two of our favorite CW hotties, Supernatural's Jensen Ackles and One Tree Hill's Danneel Harris, have announced that they're engaged. The couple has been dating since they worked together on the indie film Ten Inch Hero, and they're both such sweethearts that we couldn't be happier. According to The Hollywood Gossip, Danneel flashed her ring when the couple attended the Breeders Cup horse race this weekend.

Now, of course, we're wondering if they'll appear on each other's shows. Can you imagine Danneel as a warrior angel, or Jensen as a rival basketball player who takes on Nate? Or maybe Danneel can be a fellow Hunter, while Jensen is the sportscaster who takes Mouth's spot on the air. So many possibilities!

Leave your best wishes for the couple in the comments!

I guess that's official now!

Everything starts out so well this week on One Tree Hill: Haley's got a concert, Clay is confident Nate's contract will be renewed, Brooke thinks she's pregnant, Julian and Alex finished the script, and even Quinn's cracking the occasional smile.... But as per usual in Tree Hill, the happy good times don't last long.

In case you ever need a weekly "The Notebook" fix it seems that Austin Nichols is proposing that you watch "One Tree Hill." The man who plays Julian thinks that his onscreen romance with Sophia Bush's Brooke Davis is very, very similar to the one that won our hearts in the Nicholas Sparks tearjerker.

“When Mark [Schwahn, the show’s creator] asked me to come back as a series regular I told him I only would if we could make a really powerful love story for Brooke and Julian," he told examiner.com. "I wanted him to give them the greatest love story. I mentioned 'The Notebook' to him. I wanted him to give them that kind of love and story, a fountainhead love. And in 'The Notebook' even when they fight, it’s how it is now for Brooke and Julian, it’s fun to watch them fight. It’s sexy. It’s inspiring.”

He added that if Mark had had any other ideas for the cute couple, then he wasn't made aware of them. In fact, Mark seemed down for all his suggestions. "If he was, he didn't tell me," Austin said. "He just asked me what I thought and then he just agreed with everything I said about them. He was very happy to write to them that kind of a love story. I think because it worked in season six, he knew it could continue. When something works, it's great. It's been fun."

In fact, he says that his offscreen chemistry with Ms. Bush has a lot to do with that. "For some reason there's this it factor. When Brooke and Julian, and Sophia and I, get together there's just a great chemistry that happens," he said. "There's just this really great energy there when we work together."

Do you agree with Austin: is there great energy between Brooke and Julian?

[...] And when "GG" does return, the CW could decide to rest "One Tree Hill" for a couple of months, slotting "LUX" into the 8 p.m. Monday position. [...]

***

[...] As for The CW, the netlet is expected to roll out "UneXpected" on Monday, January 18. The newcomer will take over for "Gossip Girl" at 9:00/8:00c for several weeks before settling into the 8:00/7:00c slot, currently home to "One Tree Hill," in the spring.

Said scheduling is designed to minimize the number of its notoriously low-rated repeats on the night. Following their November sweeps runs, The CW will have 12 and 14 episodes of "Hill" and "Girl," respectively, yet to air. "UneXpected" has a 12-episode commitment, including its pilot. Firm dates, as well as the rest of its midseason plans, are set to be announced shortly.[...]
