Serious Injuries dealt with: One Assault, resulting in a hospital trip for the victim (Nothing too serious) and also the Air Ambulance called after a overdose. Other than those two incidents which we dealt with like clockwork, there was the normal sunburn (how anyone managed that when the rain didn't stop) and splinters.

Well the event unfortunately was COLD and Wet, but that didn't seem to dampen down anyone's spirits, the event went well, four casualties all told, but nothing serious. I have some photos which will go on the site today.

Today saw the arrival of the new Mobile mast which should mean that unless we suffer from a really dire site anywhere our comms should be fine.

The booking for the Beverley Festival has been cancelled. no reason given.

Prices for next year are a lot higher and fuel prices unfortunately have had to be increased also

NORBREK Rally

One Earth Events, supplied three first aiders for the Norbrek Radio rally at the Norbrek castle Hotel. North Shore, Blackpool. Whilst their where no casualties We think that we where greatly appreciated for being there. We kept a first aid station and a roving patrol up all day. Hopefully this will become a long and fruitful relationship.

For anyone that missed the rally it was superb, although we would recommend getting there before 4pm as all the bargains have gone

Pendle Witches Camp Canceled.

Due to conflicts of dates the Organisers of the Pendle Witches Camp have decided to call it a day in favour of the Shamania festival. Now I know why we double booked that weekend.

Control Room

OEE has purchased a new mobile control room *a caravan* which is to be kitted out as a treatment facility and staff center and communications control centre. It is currently hoped that the whole control centre can be run of the solar power units we already have, but if not well, we can pre-charge a whole host more batteries

OEE has Been through some major changes since its inception, it has out grown its one person part time status and is now capable of running full time offering a new range of services as in All Change! We have decided to change the companies footing. As of tomorrow OEE will be registering as a Limited Company with Companies House, which of course means V.A.T registration and at last Directors! taking the stress of Martin who has been doing pretty much all the organising for OEE until now.

OEE also have to announce that it has been re-booked for next years Pendle Witches Camp and Shamania 2008

OEE has added some new products to our catalogue of services, due to a major dealer with a Nationwide wholesaler we can now offer Fire Extinguishers and equipment at better rates.

In a tie up with Microsoft we can now offer hardware as well as software media, and licensing. To make the most of this niche, we are also offering Office Live websites, and packages. Allowing clients to login to their website and add information, pages, whilst checking their mail viewing website statistics and other features. To make our clients feel happier we have even hired a programmer and designer.

Our Designer has also mentioned that we are also now able to produce business cards, letterheads, invoices and more. Give us a ring for more information.

From the Next quarter onwards we will be advertising in Lancashire Constabularys' quarterly countywide newspaper which is delivered to every home, business, doctors surgery, school etc. To have had our qualifications checked and validated like this is a major achievement for One Earth Events. (I will post copies of the adverts here as I get them)

One Earth Events 2007 Halloween Ball

Presenting the Halloween Masked Ball, from 1930hrs onwards at the Inn on the Wharf pub, Manchester Road, Burnley, Lancashire. (Upstairs in the function room) Children welcome if supervised. £5 in advance entrance ticket (£6 on the night) All profits are going to charity so come and let your hair down.

27th July - 12 noon Monday 30th July

Event report: We had a Herbal practitioner, and a fully trained Drugs Councilor present over the weekend.

We provided two teams of First aiders on the Friday night both teams had a male and female first aider, whilst both teams where based from the Welfare tent, we provided full roaming cover of the whole site, one team at a time had chance to roam and then rest as approprate. We dealt with three minor health issues on the friday night, none of which resulted in an ambulance being called, nor A&E treatment.

Saturday night we provided Three teams, as the event was at its full swing, we kept two teams doing site sweeps for casualties and Event control was pleased with our efforts, as we beat them to EVERY incident, and only one radio call for First Aid went out during our shift! again we dealt with only five issues, none of which required further medical treatment. We also had a herbal practitioner available for helping with "Herbal Stimulants" that some people where clearly using.

Outcome: We have been invited to run all first aid for the Event organisers official events, on the grounds that we where Proffessional, and where a very visible presence. Even the S.I.A door staff running event security where happy with our speedy and responsive manner. We have outlined a few things that we need to add to standard kit for forthcoming events, like angled wire cutters for removal of rings, and a set of radios that allow us to communicate with not only event control but also each other as well, these have now been purchased. A big "Thank you" goes out to Every Team Member that attended this event we could not have done this without you, and we will all be asking for your continued support with the next events. Another thank you goes out to the people that attended the event for being careful and sensible over the event as a whole.

PRE EVENT INFO: One Earth Events will be running evening First Aid for Shamania from 2000 - 0400 hrs during the Festival, We are providing two teams of First Aiders, a Carer and also a Driver for the event. Due to the large number of people attending this event we have had to purchase extra kits, and are hoping that this will become an annual event.
