The new Zetsubou-sensei came out from Del Rey, and has 2 One Piece refs, one small and one larger. As always with this manga, they emerge randomly and may make little sense out of context.

In Chapter 37, the subject of not speaking to avoid getting in trouble (say, a la Tiger Woods) leads to a list of people who need to be 'silenced'. The list contains 'silence the person who knows how to read the Poneglyph language'. This chapter came out in early 2006, i.e. right in the middle of Enies Lobby.

In Chapter 39, the subject of 'second opinions' leads to the teacher bringing in other students who are '2nd opinions' of his current students. The student who is replacing Harumi, the class's resident yaoi fangirl, says that it's 'Sanji x Zolo', of course. Harumi gets offended, especially when people note it's quite similar to her, and says "Sanji x Zolo and Zolo x Sanji are totally different!" with a footnote stating Harumi is Zolo x Sanji.

Considering that Kodansha's Shonen Magazine is not allowed to explicitly reference Shueisha's Jump manga, I'm impressed at how the mangaka worked these in. :) (He's even worse at insulting Shonen Sunday, his old magazine that he left on bad terms with.)
