Hmm...well...I don't much use landscape-type things, but the photos are pretty! ^_^
Who's the totally awesome individual with the dreddy hairstyle in 98 and 99?

Thank you~ Photography is my not-so-secret passion. ^__^
That would be yours truly two years ago.

*grins* That's one time-consuming choice of hairstyle if nothing else. This requires a Vader quote along the lines of: "Impressive. Most impressive..."

I got rid of it though. Braiding my rather long hair is quite the task. Bonus points were the chance to not comb it for at least a month.

*has semi-long hair...sort of. Like half and half* Not combing for a month without getting crazy bride-of-Frankenstein tangle is win. I agree.
Likewise, though, being an individual with long hair m'self (I keep it ponytail'd) I feel the pain of attempting to braid the whole thing...

But for the record, trying to braid your hair like that looks retarded with curls and uneven hairz. *teh epic fail for Skunky's phantom mullet*

*has hair almost down to waist* I've done it and still looked relatively normal. Even when my hair wasn't braided.
It takes patience. Which I don't have all that much, so I do it like... once in two years when the fancy strikes me. That, and no one really wants to hire odd-looking workers.

...did you know that you can braid in pretty colourful yarn so that hair length evens out? It's what my friend did because she had thin and uneven hair. Looked damned awesome, do pardon my language of choice.

Well I depend on looking like a demented demon anime dandelion much of the time, in a place reknowned for near-tropical humidity year-round. Possibly that makes a difference?

They hire odd-looking workers down here when they can get away with it. *grin* Hence why my ten-year-old-girl type voice is so desired to talk to people about their insect infestations... And having weird hair like mine actually works out, because it looks strange, but not in a sort of "defiant youth" way, and otherwise I look like a slightly sloppy fourteen year old or something. Bookstores pick up that kind like crazy. *grin* Of course...it probably helps that every time you go there you fix up the manga section alphabetical again... *cough*

And please, use your language of choice. I don't care. I never say anything aloud, strangely enough, but I swear in text. *shrug* hope you excuse me as well. But yarn is soft, and tangles so it's almost impossible to get out. *shudders*

That could be. My hair gets all curly when I walk in rain.

That's interesting work policy. Here, you can only get away looking like that in the central market where mainly old ladies work. Other places look at you with some sort of... sympathy, I guess, for the lack of a better-fitting word.

You are automatically excused. I tend to swear out loud and on paper and everywhere else.
And being familiar with knitting, I can tell you that there are different kinds of yarn - softer and not so soft and outright fluffy and knotty.

80%+ humidity year round is more or less like breathing in constant rain. *grin*

*shrug* Welcome to America. Elderly people love me and my hair, teenagers either accept it as the best thing since plexiglass or whisper about it, and small children regard me and my mad hair and rampant manic flailing and crazy expressions as the ultimate carnival attraction. In other words...we are very strange here.

Meh, you probably still don't swear as much as most peopel here. I tend to find...other...more CREATIVE words and terms to vent my frustration. Say what you like, I don't care.

Ah, my knitting skills are very poor...but my mom is in favor of gooshy, evil yarns. I simply carry embroidery floss, I'm afraid...

I can only imagine.

Sounds like you're also having fun. We're all pretty normal here and when I decide to take a walk barefeet through the centre of the capital, I get stared at a lot.

Given that I swear in like, three languages... I'm willing to wager the chances of that. Likewise with you - everything's a go.

You should go yarn shopping sometime. I'm sure you'd find something catching your fancy.

Yeah...80%+ humidity and usually over 85 degrees, too...(Oh crap...I should convert that to celcius, shouldn't I? Um...like 33 1/2 degrees Celsius, I think?)

Meh...supposedly I'm weirder than about 90% of the people even here, so I wouldn't bet on that. I have a tremendous amount of fun with it, but other peopel are generally a bit more normal. ^_^;;

What I would give to mutter in three languages...*snickers*

Meh. I only shop for the floss. I make all kinds of crap to put on my backpack--makes it colorful and noisy...

Ahah. Insane.

That's good, I suppose. You're just different. Wish I had the guts to go out and be so tremenduously different and bright. (I will still have my qualms about the colour of pink.)

*snicker* Make that five and a half.

Fancy, fancy. I should finally get around to prettying up my old worn-out jeans with some shinies.

Quite. *nod*

Meh, just tremendously different, my choice of clothing is actually very drab, hence why the backpack tries to be colorful.)

All the better. (Though slightly disgusting. -_-* Stop making me envious. *fyuu*)

Oh no, shinies are for backpacks only.

erm, that would be 8 and 38, as the numbers are above the icons. And #8 (as well as #23) is actually white wood sorrel, not clover. Though because of the similarity, they're easy to mix up. =3
