I don't normally do this here, but I'm pretty excited about an upcoming icontest. It's over at himym_icontest and it's called a rumble. Think of it as the positive version of a lims challenge (I so want to do this with Firefly). *ponders*

Anyway - if you like How I Met Your Mother and want to try a long term contest, go check it out. =D

What feels like forever ago, I signed up for the Sweet Charity auction thinking I could do graphics fairly quickly. Unfortunately, I have this insane need to go above and beyond what is required and I went a little overboard (with excitement) over invisibleshrew's request for Wonderfalls' icons. In particular, Mahandra icons! There really isn't enough Mahandra love so I also signed up for a 50 icon challenge (I won't be that ambitious again, I fear). Sadly, my claim was dropped because I failed to make the deadline, BUT I kept it up anyway. Here are FIFTY icons plus the thirty-six bases/alternates.

So, I signed up for an icon challenge community a while ago (hence, not entering icon contests for awhile). However, I've FINISHED! The icons are for 10x10variated - yep, 100 icons. Of course, I hate text with a mighty passion (well, text that I put on an icon), so I've included bases and alternates for anything with text. And, since I was trying to play with text (practice, practice, practice), there are a LOT of bases. I've kept them to the end, though. =D

My claim was "The Men of Firefly." So, any male character in Firefly was fair game. Initially I tried to stick to a plan (2 of each main male for each set), but I needed to shake things up so that plan deteriorated rather quickly.
