Hi everyone, it's your not-so-trusty community maintainer. I've been a horrible maintainer but I promise to get better if you'll give me another chance. It's nice to see such a large group of ladies here! I hope everyone will continue to post and get this community going again!

I've been so crazy.. I just had a baby boy in August and my little girl just turned four. Life is hectic, I'm sure you can all relate!!

So, in case you haven't noticed, I revamped the community a bit. Changed the layout, user pics and info page. Also got rid of the the members who had deleted their accounts.

That's it.. hopefully everyone is doing good. I'll be back later tonight with pics of the kiddos. I'd love to see yours too!

Hey Everyone. I am a 23 year old mother living in tucson, arizona. I am happily married, going on 2 years now. My hubby is my high school sweetheart, and so far we have been together for more then 6 years now.

Currently we have a 4 1/2 year old son, going on 5 in july. We also are expecting another in... Well 1 and a half days! I am being induced on may 8th, and we are extremely nervous, excited, anxious.

Added to that anxiousness, is the fact that we chose not to find out what gender the baby is until it's here! We really can't wait.So far I am a stay at home mom, and could always use a few new like minded friends to talk to, so please feel free to message me. Especially if your mom's, stay at home homes, parents, expecting mom's, and all that good stuff. Can't wait to meet some new friends!

How much does or did your baby really cost a month? What do you pay for diapers, formula, daycare, etc. etc.? I will continue working mostly because my job has excellent benefits that I can't afford to give up.

I'm trying to figure out a plan to be able to afford to at least start trying to get pregnant. I was figuring maybe if I figured out kind of an "average" cost of what babies cost a month we could start trying to live while putting that much back (or something close to it) in a savings account each month. Then by the time I finally did get pregnant we'd have quite a nice nest egg set aside, besides being able to actually live and afford the baby on the money we actually make each month.

So, if you wouldn't mind giving me an idea of what it costs, I'd appreciate it. I'm talking an actual dollar amount, if possible.

I really do appreciate this.

okay, seth had a Pediatric GI appointment today. he is officially malnourished. he has fallen under the 5th percentile for weight (23 lbs), and right between the 10th and 25th for height (33 inches). He is almost 22 months old. doctor scheduled some test for the 22nd of the months.

as it stands right now, when he does eat he either curls up in pain about 10 minutes later, or makes himself puke, (hands down throat bit). he has lost a lot of weight, Obviously!

Anyone have any ideas?

My fiance and I never really discussed the option of having a doula with us during labor. The more and more I look into it, and think about, I think I would really like one.

I am 36wks. Is it too late to find a doula? How does one go about finding a doula (any good websites)?
If it helps, I am in West Michigan.

Also, generally...whats a standard charge for a doula?

I wanted to share this feed with you guys, it's mine, and I'm thinking a lot of moms can sympathize with most of what I write. At this point, I am writing essays and short pieces about being a military wife living abroad, a parent, and an all around super cool person who is coping with domesticity as it infringes up on her being. Posts are funny, insightful (if I do say so myself), and daily. I also share music once or twice a week, and post images of the landscape here in Germany, and of course of the little terror that dominates my every waking moment.

im wanting to make my own pregnancy journal/baby book and i was wondering if any of you could give me some links to where i can print out the questions for the pregnancy journal part.
