The Measure of a Man The measure of a man is in his words, Those both said and unspoken. Words to lift, to treasure, to show compassion, Words that will be inspiration to those yet to be. The measure of a man is in his deeds, The actions taken to do what is right. To create, to build, to hold in comfort, Actions to teach the small eyes to see. The measure of a man is in how he loves, With an open heart, Thoughtful words of advice, A gentle touch. He is a man, who is not afraid to show is tears, His laughter in the company of friends, his pride in his children, Showing his love for his family, through words and deeds. This is a man worthy of the name “Father”. RDK Dec 2006

A promise is a piece of yourself you give another
One is never the same as the next or the last.
When you break your oath, a heart is struck
When you turn your back, a soul tears and shreds.
If you can keep your word,
If you can stay the course,
Riches of trust and love can be found.
It is only on the other side,
The other side of a promise.
The Other side of a Promise

I'm really sorry but I needed to advertise so please don't be mad. So if you guys love J.D Robb (Nora Roberts other pen name) you guys should join my new community, it's called RPG in death and my name is I_am_Eve_Dallas, check it out sometime! Thanks for letting me do that. Sorry to be disruptive.

Title: The Calling Song
Author's Notes: Orginal Fic, fantasy/sci-fi, some horror aspects. Will have sex and language, I'd put it about NC-17.
I'm looking for feedback on what people think of what I have so far. I'm branching out here cause these are all characters I have created, this isn't a fanfiction or a crossover fanfic, so I'm diving into deep waters for me. I really mean it, I want to know what you think and any constructive critiques are going to be taken very seriously. I thank you now for reading and for commenting.

Flight
I saw a butterfly with a torn wing But it could still fly Its flight even more beautiful for that Erratic and entrancing So delicate and frail And somehow so strong Sheer strength of will suspending it midair It circled, flirting with me as I passed An imperfect blur of black and deep blue Ethereal and mangled
I'm not sure if I'm done with it, yet. So any input/critique/suggestions you can give is very welcome.

OK Here goes the disclaimers. I don't own anyone except for the obvious. Just to be on the safe side, this one is going to be rated R. It's a wrestling fic, but won't fall in the TNA category. Enjoy!

Ok, here it is, a creative outlet spot for writers and readers of online publications. Feel free to post stories, poetry, fanfic, etc here. Please see the profile page and get the requested info on guidelines, there aren't many, though one I feel strongly about is NO FLAMING! This is a ssafe place for writers to show their work and get constructive critisms, not bashing. SO play nice, and avoid running with scissors, ok? And most importantly, have fun and be creative!
