I want/need to make a spit.
Pig roast, 30-40lb little porker
the pit is ready but the spit (from goat) will not hold

Any advice how to construct a spit for the job?

Welcome to [info]omgwtfbbqers, the LJ community focused on hardcore, serious BBQ talk.

I created this com to fill an apparent absence of LJ forums directed to barbecue -- meaning meat that is slow-cooked by indirect heat and wood-smoked. I recently acquired a Traeger wood pellet smoker and thought a com like this would be a great way to share recipes, stories, tips, and techniques with other BBQers on LJ. So please join and contribute.
