The Vongola had always been a presence in the city, a powerful family that, for all its criminal dealings, did more good than harm. Sure, protection money was a pain, but the American city, well-known for its large populations of Japanese and Italian immigrants, flourished by merit of the money that the Vongola was bringing in, no matter how questionably legal and the citizens recognized that.
However, with the recent selection of an heir to the well-loved ninth leader of the Vongola, trouble stirred within the previously peaceful Vongola, disrupting its near complete control of the city. And, with the Vongola's flanks unguarded, two families, the Gesso and the Giglio Nero, took the initiative, combining their forces into a new, more powerful family, the Millefiori.
Now, the Vongola must struggle to unite their divided ranks against the powerful new force of the Millefiori or give up the control of the city they've held for so long. |
