Hi Folks!

I'm trying to get to the board for a while now, but it seems I just don't come through today :(
It's not my computer or connection because all other websites work fine for me.

Anybody else experiencing problems when trying to access the board?
- Mirk told me that the board is terrible slow for her today, so maybe there's too much traffic or some hacker attacks?

I''m aware folks can't get to the board. The site and the domain work and I can see all the forum files on the server but it appears one of the php files is missing. We're researching...

Board Software Upgrade

We'll be shutting down OLove in about 10 minutes to begin software upgrades. Updates will be posted here. Wish us luck!

Edit #1: have backed up the database and starting upgrades...

Edit #2: slight boo-boo on our config file, editing in putty...

Edit #3: fixed the config file...

Edit #4: we're done. *g*

Edit #5: don't forget to refresh so you can see the forum is back online (to force a refresh, hit Ctrl + F3)

We had to do a DNS change and it appears it has either:

1. gone through and has to repropagate through the net

or

2. something went wrong.

Ticket opened.

*sigh*

Edit: It's #2 and should be fixed in about an hour. Apparently our records were not on the nameserver which they told us to switch to. o_O They apologized and fixed it but these fixes are only done once a day. It's just lucky that I called in about an hour before they did today's fixes otherwise, it wouldn't have have been done until tomorrow.

Migration Complete!

We've finished the server migration and turned the forum on at the new IP, the forum at the old IP will remain off so we don't lose posts in transit. It usually takes about 24 to 48 hours for the DNS change to propagate through the net so some of you might see the forum go live before others.

Slight Frustration

EL, Serein - are you already in progress migrating to the new server?

I'm asking because I can view the board, browse through threads and read posts ... but I'm not able to do a post myself.

I tried quick reply and advanced reply - I can even do a preview of what I've written. But when I hit submit reply the page keeps on loading and loading and loading and ... *blink*
I tried on several forums but the frigging software doesn't let me post. *frustrated*

I can't even write a PM. Whenever I want to go to my inbox I get a page saying:
"Database error. The Orlando Love database has encountered a problem."
Did you disable the PM system?

Anyone else having these problems?

Ok, I've managed to get the forum back online for the moment. Don't know exactly how but it's up. I've turned the forum off to check on a few things but I will reopen it in a bit. We will still be migrating to a new server later today so the site will be down. For the moment we are back though. Woohoo!!!

Apache keeps failing so that's why the board isn't loading. I keep restarting it and it keeps failing. We're working on it!

ETA: we were under an attack. Have banned the IP. Hopefully the loads will go down.

The server is getting slammed hard and we're not sure why. The server loads are ridiculously heavy and we've noticed it on and off for the past month. Hang in there.

We're BACK! After slaving away, panicking and pulling our hair out after upteen million intermediate upgrades to get to 3.6.4 from 3.0.5 we're at 99.99% functionality. We just have to complete a few minor tweaks here and there but serein_03 and I are going to bed now because our brains are mush and our eyes have fallen out of their sockets. :P

Um....as you may have noticed, the board is completely inaccessible at this time. We're having a teensy weensy problem with the upgrading process and it may take a little bit longer than anticipated. Just hang in there, folks.

We'll be taking the board offline for a couple of hours beginning late Saturday afternoon in order to upgrade the board software. Hopefully it won't take long but if we run into problems we'll let you know. Please check here for updates.
