In the original WoO movie, after Dorothy kills the witch, doesn't the leader of the soldier coat guys tell her they were happy Dorothy released them from the witch's service? It's been a while since I've seen it. The reason I ask is: most fic portrays the Longcoats still hanging on after the eclipse, trying to plot overthrows, still dangerous etc, but is there any fic where they're all 'Woohoo we're free'? Is there a place for Longcoats in the new O.Z. to be good guys in the service of the original queen, or to DG as the person who freed them? DG's army?

Oh look, Keri's talking about Glitch, someone alert the media! So while having a discussion with surranndie and writing angst I came around to a thought that I'm sure a few people have had: I worry that I don't make Glitch glitchy enough in post-series things.

Then I thought about it, and the last time he really does the repeat-loop whatsit in canon is Milltown. Plus he only ever really forgets everything after the mirror bit and after getting, you know, zapped, and he recovers from both pretty quickly.

So those cliche Glitchisms are more the exception than the rule. Sure he'll take the long way around a discussion ("Gotta love a good orchard!") but as the series goes on it becomes more apparent that he CAN keep up. My theory is that given structure, something like a stable environment (for some value of "stable" *eyes traveling companions*), he gets better. It stands to reason that in a post-series world where he maintains that stability that the quirks get even less pronounced.

...exactly like Dory in Finding Nemo, actually o.o Or it could just be yet more of the writers being inconsistant. Whichever. Also I realize this may be more meta-y, but really it's waffling about a character from a writer's perspective so, um... *gives up on tagging*

How do you guys deal with canon details that spring up on you mid fic?  You know, seemingly tiny details that undermine your entire oh-so-carefully crafted plot?  Do you work around them?  Ignore them?  Abandon the plot?

Hi!

I'm Jake, aka Mary, and I've been prowling around looking for a cool Tin Man site to call home.  This comm looked like just the thing so I figured I'd introduce myself.  I watched the mini on DVD a few months ago and have been psychotically obsessed interested ever since. 

Tin Man discussions are great fun, and I hope y'all don't mind if I throw in my 2 cents every now and then :)

I'm also a burgeoning fan fiction writer.  My first ever completed story EVER was a Tin Man story (if you're curious, it's on my LJ page under the same username), and I'm working on what I hope will be my second ever completed story (also Tin Man).  

I'm new at this wole fiction writing thing and I would like to get as much feedback as I can so I can improve.  Would y'all mind if I posted the occasional chapter for an open beta-ing session?  Or would you rather get to know me through a few more posts before I go shoving my work at you, begging for approval ;) ?

Anyway, it's nice to meet y'all and now I'm going to go check out that Infinity Elixer story 'cause the title is just so darn cool.

So this post is mostly about how my house seems to be teeming  infested with plot bunnies.  In all seriousness, its getting a little ridiculous.  In all not seriousness, I'm walking around giggling like a freakin' school girl.  Its sad.  So here is an official list:

1.  Until The Fall
2.  Once Upon an Ozian Night (which, lets face it, should be titled "Avoiding Until The Fall")
3.  "As Yet Untitled Bunny" (and this ties into the next order of business, which is...)

Discussion Prompt

Raw, and his super-Viewer healer vibes.  Which we see him use, what... twice?  Once after the cliff-jump (in which Raw says:  "Here, lets all look at Cain's backside *cocks head to the side with a sigh*) and then once, in the last scene, where its presumed he did... something.

So I'm looking for opinions about Raw... Do you think he... takes pain?  Heals flesh?  Removes objects with his mind (does that make him a Jedi?  I don't watch Star Wars)?

Now I'm sure I could browse the fandom all day and find everyone's opinions about this... but hey, yesterday was pretty quiet on my end of things, so I thought I'd stir up some fun.
