The U2 concert in Las Vegas was a hot ticket. But the real entertainment at the MGM Grand on Nov. 5 was in the audience, where actor Jonny Lee Miller, 33, was overheard telling an insider that he and ex-wife Angelina Jolie, 30, are much more than friends.

“Mr. Pitt has no idea who Angie really is,” Jonny says, according to a witness. “We love each other deeply, and Mr. Pitt, I’m sure, doesn’t know how much we love each other — or how often!”

Still together
Hold on. Back up. How often? “Jonny says he and Angie were still very much lovers, that they had many secret rendezvous that Brad was completely unaware of and that when Brad found out, he’d be destroyed,” says the eyewitness. “And Jonny didn’t care. He doesn’t seem to like Brad much at all.”

A rep for Jonny declined to comment, and Angelina’s manager didn’t respond to a request for a comment. Brad’s publicist denies the story.

How Brad’s coping
It appears that Brad, 41, distrusts Jonny as much as Jonny seems to dislike him. Brad “wants to be everything to Angelina,” says a longtime friend of the Pitt family. “He loves her. He wants to marry her. He wants to be the one she turns to when she’s troubled. So he gets sad and tense when Angelina seeks solace with Jonny. He knows what Jonny means to her.”

But if Brad does intend to walk down the aisle with Angie, he may have to get used to sharing her. After all, she’s been open about her preference for multiple lovers. In a June Vanity Fair interview, she says she has met them in hotel rooms. In that same interview she called those relationships “so healthy and so honest, the most honest relationships I’ve ever had.”

Can they make it?
Though Jonny — who was married to Angelina from 1996 to 1999 — brought a girlfriend with him to the U2 concert, his focus was clearly on someone else. “Angie believes in what she calls ‘freedom of love’” he says. “She believes you should always be free to share your love with whomever you wish. That was something I had to learn to deal with, and it’s certainly going to become an issue for Mr. Pitt.”

And soon. Jonny also revealed that he’s planning to spend Christmas with Brad and Angelina in London. “It’s the first husband meeting the next husband,” he said. “I don’t think Brad’s going to like it, but Angie and I have only become closer since our divorce.”

He also offered an early prediction for the New Year: “If Angie and Brad marry, he’s in for one hell of a ride,” he said. “But when it fails, I’ll be there to help her pick up the pieces.”
