Cowboys Point NBC To Win; Housewives, Brothers & Sisters Hit Lows



On a Sunday when second place was a horserace, first place was not, as the Dallas Cowboys lifted NBC and Sunday Night Football to an easy win with an average 6.2 rating for adults 18-49 in primetime. Early metered market numbers indicate it was NBC’s best Sunday night since September 20.

Perhaps the ladies like watching Tony Romo, because against the Cowboys/Eagles Sunday Night Football game ABC’s women focused line up took a dive. Extreme Makeover: Home Edition was down 9% to a 3.0 adults 18-49 rating. Desperate Housewives hit a season low 4.3 rating, down 14% from last week. Brothers & Sisters tumbled 12% to a 2.9 rating, also a season low.

Because of an NFL overrun last night, CBS’ timeslots and numbers are a mess. Although it seems clear that both Three Rivers and Cold Case did dreadfully.

I wish Cold Case did better. It's the only show that can make me feel very emotional at the end. It's their music director's fault. S/he picks out the best music for an each episode, and that's probably why we'll never get the series on DVD.

That's why I was only slightly disappointed. :D If anything it would have been moderately decent background noise before Mad Men came on, but I found the Seth and Alex show so grating on my nerves I just switched to the AMC movie.

Desperate Housewives is over the top and ridiculous this season yet I am still watching it. I can't help it, I enjoy the over-the-top drama.

And, ffs, I hate how Seth owns Fox's Sunday night. I know his shows gets decent ratings, but they are the same show with slightly different characters. I don't see how people can watch them back to back to back.

(I can't bitch about NBC today. I don't give a fuck about football.)

The only thing that I enjoyed watching last night was Mad Men. I still watch Family Guy but last night's ep was so unfunny. Mad Men, on the other hand, was epic. Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce for the motherfucking win!

Family Guy hasn't been funny in a while =( It used to have some basis in heart (if that makes sense) which is why it was so amazing but now it's just LOL LOOK AT HOW FAR I CAN PUSH THE ~ENVELOPE~ WITH EVERYTHING, and it gets old.

FU FOX FOR PUTTING AMERICAN DAD ON AT 7:30. Honestly, it's like the less effort Seth McFarlene puts into his shows the better they are. American Dad was barely funny when it first started but now it's just amazing.

I still can't watch the Cleveland Show and FU FOX FOR ENCOURAGING SETH MCFARLENE'S TOMFOOLERY AND MISTAKING IT FOR GENIUS. I'd rather have 8 shows by Matt Groening than 3 shows by Seth, NGL.

SRSLY! Futurama= amazing and I have no idea why they cancelled such a good show in the first place. Family Guy pretty much sucks now but I do agree with u about American Dad. It is SO good right now (and they're airing the first season episodes on Hulu now and they're just awful).

NGL tho, The Simpsons is pretty much unbearable right now. I miss when they weren't all shiny and plastic and HD and had actual stories.

I watched Amazing Race, then left Three Rivers on while I cleaned up from dinner. What treacly crap that is, I'm still pissed that they moved Cold Case to 10. I used to love going right from Amazing Race to Cold Case on Sundays.
