Kristin Chenoweth Heads Back to Broadway

Kristin Chenoweth may star in the forthcoming Broadway revival of Promises, Promises.


The New York Post reports that while it has yet to be signed, a deal has been reached for the Tony-award winning star to play the role of Fran Kubelik opposite Sean Hayes of Will and Grace fame.

Promises, Promises is a musical comedy based on Billy Wilder's film The Apartment, and looks at marital intrigue and the relationships between men and women.

The show was written by Neil Simon, with music by Burt Bacharach, and lyrics by Hal David while the musical numbers were staged and choreographed by Michael Bennett.

Kristin Chenoweth, most recently seen on TV show Pushing Daisies Glee has also appeared in many Broadway productions including her Tony-winning performance in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown.

Award-winner Rob Ashford is set to direct and choreograph the revival.

i wanted to see her in the off broadway play she'll be in around november but the cheapest tickets were 75. i do not have that right now.

i just might have to go wait outside the theare with my pushing daisies dvds and try to meet her though.

if she does this and they have some affordable tickets, i'd love to go. i haven't seen a broadway play in ages.

This made me sad, because no matter how much I adore Glee, I still miss Pushing Daisies to death. =(
