I remember Romola Garai from when I watched Daniel Deronda to ogle Hugh Dancy (when he still looked pedobear-friendly and stunning).

btw slightly OT but I literally JUST watched that BBC Shakespeare Retold series and The Taming of the Shrew was one of the best modern Shakespeare adaptations I have ever seen. It totally rekindled my Rufus Sewell love/lust. I mean. Rufus in drag? Wow. Delicious. Not to mention, Shirley Henderson was amazingly adorable and hilarious. It really was fantastic, I can't recommend it enough.

Jonny Lee Miller and Romola Garai *headdesk* One looks like a pervert and the other couldn't act her way out of a wet paper bag. The BBC must have gone completely bonkers when they cast that unholy pair.

I really liked the random Jewish opera singer in that movie, which is probably not what was supposed to happen. I know that Romola's character was supposed to be at least a little irritating (at least I hope that's how she was supposed to come off), but I could never get into her. Even when her situation changed and she stopped acting so high and mighty, I was just all 'get off of my screen'.

but mmmmm Hugh Dancy.
