People talk much about Emma's Style and less about Tom's Girlfriend
Emma Watson's week in style
It's the battle of the Brits as Emma Watson overtakes Cheryl Cole in the style stakes.Fashion is a dog eat dog world; it was only Monday of this week that we were raving about Cheryl Cole's sweet summer style... Now, four days later we have a new fashion crush. Hermione Granger (aka Emma Watson) has been working some spellbinding outfits while out on the promotional tour of the new Harry Potter movie, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and frankly, we're mesmerised!
First up the starlet chose a drop-waisted dress with embellished collar by American design duo Proenza Schouler and a pair of super-fierce platform sandals (top left) for a London photocall. Next up was Emma's rain dance down the red carpet at London's Leicester Square, dressed in a chiffon printed maxi by seventies fashion legend Ossie Clarke (top right). Then after a Transatlantic trip Emma dazzled on the David Letterman Show in a cream panelled number with black piping by Brit It-designer Christopher Kane (bottom left). And let's not forget the lust worthy Chanel accessories she's been sporting - the terribly patriotic quilted Chanel bag emblazoned with a Union Jack (bottom right) being our personal favourite.
The pretty Brit has grown into a fully fledged fashionista right before our very eyes, long gone are the Hogwarts school sweater days in favour of a super slick and dare we say, sexy look. We can't wait to see what Emma will be donning next, will it be Burberry or perhaps she'll go for a full on fashion war with Cheryl and steal her McQueen thunder? Who knows, but one thing's for sure - we can't wait to find out!
This is the second time Emma Watson has worn a piece from the Proenza Schouler Resort 2010 collection on the red carpet for her new movie “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince”.
The first time was when she attended the London photocall.
That dress was cute with a drop waist and a bejeweled neckline, for this occasion she opted for something a bit more adventurous.
She opted for this quite sexy haltered leather Proenza Schouler Resort 2010 dress with a black bodice, and a white skirt plus black strappy heels from the same collection.
This look might be a bit much for her die-hard young fans, but I love it.
It’s unexpected, it’s fresh, it’s risqué without being tacky. I don’t get a sense that she’s trying to be anyone else. Under all that leather she’s still Emma Watson.
I love the blown out hair. This was something that was missing from her other appearances.
I’ve been really impressed with all of her choices this week. They’ve been effortless, mature, tasteful and sophisticated.
Both times IMHO Emma wore it better
It seems that overnight Emma Watson has become a brand new sparkling icon for a new generation. Yes she's Squeaky Clean and clever, but it's the fashion that we're excited about. As her Harry Potter premiere tour kicks off, with vintage Ossie Clark, Chanel and Christopher Kane under her belt, Emma's proving that her style is worth watching. But at the New York premiere last night she upped her fashion credentials by once again wearing Proenza Schouler from their Resort 2010 collection - yes we're talking next summer here. The monochrome leather halter-neck dress was a sexier look in comparison to the relatively prim Kane, but when paired with simple sandals, a turquoise ring and enviable glossy hair, the overall effect is surprisingly ladylike. Whether Emma's dressing herself or is having a little bit of help, credit where credit's due - she looks amazing.
Emma Watson upstaged by evil Draco Malfoy's girlfriend at Harry Potter premiere in New York
It was round two as the Harry Potter stars descended on New York for the second red carpet event to promote the new film following Tuesday's world premiere in London.
As per usual, Emma Watson put in a head-turning performance and dressed in a risque all-in-one black and white leather halterneck dress.
However, her enchanting display was upstaged by a rival from the 'dark side' in the form of evil Draco Malfoy's (Tom Felton) girlfriend, Jade Olivia.
Miss Olivia, who works in the film industry, dazzled in a figure-hugging short grey floral dress.
The brunette was first pictured with Felton, 21, last July at the Dark Knight premiere in London.
With his arm wrapped lovingly around her waist, Felton co-ordinated his outfit with his girlfriend's, wearing grey trousers and a shirt with an undone bow tie.
The stars of the film are currently in the throes of a promotional whirlwind to plug the sixth movie, Harry Potter and the Halfblood Prince.
Radcliffe and his co-star Miss Watson have both made appearances on the David Letterman show in New York to promote the film, which is released in cinemas next Wednesday (July 15).
Meanwhile, Felton, who has posted messages on his Twitter page about being 'exhausted', dashed from the world Premiere in London on Tuesday for a press junket in Canada, before hitting the New York premiere last night.
