People Hate Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo found out in his morning papers that he had been named in a 100-strong list of irritations for the great British public this year.

Ronaldo found himself 43rd – ahead of kids kicking the back of your seat on a plane and Heather Mills.

And Manchester United’s Portuguese superstar proved to be a real pest for Blackburn boss Paul Ince too as he made all the difference on a rain-sodden day at Ewood Park.

His teamwork couldn’t be faulted. His build-up play awesome. His effectiveness unquestioned.

The only criticism would have been his lack of clinical finishing which, by his high standards of last season, was well below his best.

But that won’t matter to boss Sir Alex Ferguson this morning after collecting three valuable points from his bogey ground to catapult United back into the top six.

ronny's explanation of the hatred could be traced back to this interview a couple of seasons ago:

"I don't know why. Maybe some people don't like me. Maybe I'm too good."

	A lot of people I know who love other clubs~ pretend to hate him btu they tell me in secret that they really admire him as a player. I'm pretty sure at least 50% of the people (football fans.. not the other people) who pretend to hate him really only hate him because he's amazing and because he plays for a rival team.
