Duran Duran Roll Out The Red Carpet One Last Time!
Eleven Shows Across North America Just Announced
Starting December 1st in San Antonio, TX!
How do you top an unprecedented 10-show run on Broadway, the release of a much lauded studio album, a 22 date North American tour, a 25 + show European run, a special one-off performance with Mark Ronson and jaunts to Latin America and Australasia? You close out a terrific year with 11 special performances in the USA and Canada.
Duran Duran have today announced they will roll out the Red Carpet one last time in 2008 with 11 shows beginning December 1st in San Antonio, TX and ending at the newly renovated Wellmont Theatre in Montclair, NJ on December 14th. Hitting some of the places they were not able to play on their last extended run, Duran Duran is back to close out 2008 in ‘red carpet style’.
Playing intimate venues for this world tour finale, the band members are excited to bring their critically acclaimed show back to North America. “Its late-night-lounge, funk-infused sound stands as proof that Duran Duran has no plans to go quietly into that '80s-retro night,” claims THE WASHINGTON POST, with THE BOSTON GLOBE reminding readers “the tour’s been getting rave reviews from fans, critics and fellow rock stars (the Killers and Billy Corgan have joined the band onstage at different gigs),” and the MIAMI NEW TIMES affirming, “Better Than: Just about every other show in the last six months by a band existing for more than fifteen years.”
Tickets for all of the shows on this upcoming run will go on sale to the general public at different times over the next two weeks (visit www.duranduran.com, www.duranduranmusic.com and www.ticketmaster.com for details of these terrific one-of-a-kind performances).
